GroovyElm

Since 2005 I have taken on the persona of GroovyElm on XBL as well as numerous other sites. But after much consideration and due diligence it was determined a change was necessary. I felt the new name, Morty G Troaker was a more fitting name.
How did I come up with that you ask? Great question. A few years ago in 2o2p site chat my good friends Sjam, Rabb, Rival, and Daddyfatsack were talking about the movie Meatballs. I sadly had to speak up and say I had never seen that move. Sjam declared I would be known in site chat as Morty until I had watched the film. It was one of those things that just stuck. A while ago I had considered a change, but sadly Morty was taken as a gamertag.
Part two of the equation comes from a "heated game of scrabulous" between Rival, Rabb and myself. I had very few options and played the word "Troak". Rival became upset and accused me of cheating in the game. Troak is now often used amongst Rabb, Rival, Sjam and myself, commonly in place of the F word. We still don't know what it means.
The G I kept as an homage to my GroovyElm days. That and I think it just sounds funnier to have an initial in between Morty and Troaker.
That my friends is the story of Morty G Troaker and behind my gamertag change. I hope that in 2o2p V3 I will be able to change my site username as well, but I understand the potential difficulties that could arise if that is the case.
Pizza Pizza.
