You Can't Hide Money

That is what my friends keep telling me.  I wish I actually had some.  I noted in my last blog that my wife's ac was shot on her car.  Fast forward a few weeks and it is no longer a problem.  I have been driving around for over two years without a car payment.  My wife's car was going to be paid off in June.  As of this afternoon, I will have two car payments for the next five years.  This sucks a big one.  A few days ago, we bought a Hyundai Vercruz from my assistant principal.  It is an '07 with 15,000 miles on it.  The thing is loaded.  I had never even heard of this thing until about a week ago.  After doing a lot of research, we decided to get it.  That left me with three cars, one with 171,000 miles on it and one with a busted ac.  So what does my stupid butt decide to do?  I am going to pick up my new Honda Odyssey this afternoon.  I really didn't want two car payments but I also didn't want the problems I had either.  And before any of you say it, bite me, I love driving a mini van.View Image

Mini Vans are the new Corvettes.

Best minivan on the market, hands down. We have a 2001, and have never had a single issue with it in the 125k miles it's been on the road.

I am trading in a 2001 Odyssey with 171,000 miles on it and there is nothing wrong with it. I love it so much, I am getting a new one that is identical to it.

For me having two car payments is worth it to have two cars that I know are never going to leave me stranded.
