My Mom is hypoglycemic, so am I. It's scary stuff... I just had a "attack." You are fine, then WHAM! it's like you are drunk... dizzy, shaky. After I get my sugar back on track (sandwhich, and coffee with sugar) I am a-okay, but sleepy.

scary stuff.

Anyway, it's all good now. But can I haz nap please?

side note: they blocked access to XMradio at work, and all other on-line radio. WTF? how amd I supposed to concentrate??

You can die from that you know ! Try and eat a little more frequently . The problem is that if this happens to you frequently, your brain will just get used to it and then you'll become 'fragile' where your bloodsugar will drop to life threatening levels and you won't notice. The only warning signs will be that you just collapse and black out and someone will need to give you a glucose shot but if no one knows what's wrong with you, you could die before anyone figures it out. Your blood sugar level is your own personal health bar like in a video game, once it's done, your'e done . So be careful.

I used to get sick all the time from skipping meals and was diagnosed hypoglycemic. I passed out once in college, I was walking and my legs just gave out. Everything went black but I could still hear people talking around me, then I woke up with people pouring water on my face. Scary stuff. Nowadays I get this blind spot in front of my eyes, then I know it's time to pound some sugar FAST.

Jump drive with mp3s. Put them in you Music folder, it's better then nothing, they block ours too. The Hypo thing sucks, but you can control it, just watch.

At my work, they just took all the speakers off the computers...all because one person abused it! What I wouldn't give for some classical music at the very least!

hypoglycemia - Shit I pay a lot of money to feel that way and you get it for free? unfair. Studies have shown that listening to music at work increases productivity and keeps workers happier...but what do numskull employers care about that shit for? I listen to my ipod all day at work....some people think it unprofessional - unfortunately I could care less :) and seriously good luck with the hypoglycemia!

No online radio? That's BS. I can understand blocking video sites, but I can't see online radio taking up that much corporate bandwidth that they need to block it.

Back in May I had two brief blackouts while at work. The taxi I was driving was parked at the time, thank God. I got out and tried to walk it off but couldn't let go of the side of the car. It felt like I was going to do a face plant on the asphalt. Been off work ever since while they try to figure out what happened. Sounds a lot like what you described. Three months and that possibility has never been raised with me. Ah the joys of Canadian helathcare.
