Shared on Mon, 08/03/2009 - 06:05SO there I was on leave in September of 05. I was almost done with my first tour and my Girlfriend and I went to Gatlinburg. We had a great week, visiting the auqarium and Ripleys stuff like that. We had tons of time together in a huge cabin in the woods. One of our last days there we woke up with nothing to do. I said "what do you want to do today?" She said "you wanna go check how much a marraige license is?" "Sure" I said and we ended up getting one for like 40 bucks or so. We then traveled off looking for weddeing chapels and found one we liked, but it was a drive though. WE HAD TO BACK INTO THE DRIVE THROUGH AT THAT!!! I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up. I do that everytime I get married though. She was so happy to say "I do" to me in my 02 Monte Carlo SS, that is until everything was signed. We went to go eat pulled into the Atlanta Bread Co, and she broke down crying. Once I was married I was fine no longer nervous or anything but hungry. She said she wanted the ABC. I had no idea what was wrong and through the tears and sniffles she cryed "I want a steak!" Off we went to the Alamo Steak House, which we went back to for our 3rd aniversary, and had a great meal. This was a great day she is the best thing to ever happen to me and I'm thankfull everyday that we got married in a shitty drive through chapel. Besides this is the girl that I called at work and told her my 360 died and she showed up after work with an 360 Elite.
Why did I blog about this today? I guess it's because I miss her and it helps to tell good stories to bring back the memories.
