Shared on Tue, 08/25/2009 - 17:37Hello everyone, I am 34 and have been gaming sense 1984. I started out on the original Nes then moved up to Super Nes and then to Nintendo 64. After the N64 I got into hot rods briefly I went to the Ford dealer and bought a 1993 Mustang GT brand new right off of the show room floor. I was only 18 back then needless to say I ended up getting 19 points in 6 months. I kept the car for 2 years and then finally sold it. I haven't Had a ticket sense I sold the Mustang, knock on wood lol.
For a brief time I totally gave up gaming. I was perusing the many adventures life has to offer. In 1998 I bought my first PC it was a AMD K62 350MHZ with 128mb of ram 16mb video card and a 10GB quantum fire ball hard drive. Once I learned about online lag I was in search of high speed Internet. I learned about ISDN from the guy at best buy. Next thing you know I am on the phone company ordering a dual channel ISDN line. I can't remember how long it was after the ISDN line was installed, that Comcast brought the cable modem to our area. I was one of the first few people in our area with a Cable modem.
In June of 1999 my cousin turned me on to Everquest or should I say Evercrack. I played it strong until 2004 and Have been playing MMORPG's off and on ever sense. I cant remember the exact date but I bought the original Xbox right when it was released. Before Live my friends and I played many Halo LAN party's. And they were full 16 player LAN party's to boot. When Live rolled around I was Lucky enough to be a Beta Tester. And when Live was released, I made many friends. I also bought a PS2 and Network adapter the day of release. MY 2 favorite games on the PS2 were Socom and Tribes (idk how many of you remember that game lol) I also made many friends on the PS2.
I bought the 360 right after release and had to make a new gamertag because I let my old tag laps for 1 week. I made some friends on the 360 but not as many as the original Xbox. About 3 months ago I purged my 360 friends list and just kept the people I know in real live and 2 people that I have been friends with sense the 360 was released. I also bought a PS3 soon after release, I made a few friends but again nothing like the friends I made on the PS2.
Fast forward to today and I am now finding it almost imposable to make new friends on PSN or the 360. For one I don't add anyone who doesn't have a headset. For two most people on either service are unfriendly and are not looking to make new friends. Which is a shame because theres nothing like playing a game with a room full of friends. Well there you have it my total gaming history!
