 Well sony announced the God of War Collection today. We will get both God of War 1 and 2 and a single blu ray with 720p, 60fps, and trophy support for both games. I started to thinking would it be better to have full backwards compatibility or do games like this "remastered". I have a backwards compatible 80  gig (the one that uses the software  tricks). I honestly dont care to throw any PS2 games in there now. I did play through both god of wars soon after I got it but thats been it. The way they are doing this though actually has me excited not just for god of war, but the chances of other PS2 games getting this treatment.

My wife is really interested in this series, but has yet to play the games.

I heard about this yesterday but just assumed it was for PS2. That's kind of nice considering I purchased one of the newer 80G that isn't backwards compatible. I also picked up God of War 2 because I hadn't played it yet and was using the good old PS2. So yeah, this kind of sucks. I would have much rather have had them on a single blu ray that would have been sweet! no blu ray for me, oh well....the gods of olympus have abandoned me.
