Decluttering... booooo

Maybe I'm nuts, but I want to de-clutter my house. Simplify. Make my house *not* a shit-sty. But it's work. and work is hard. And I am lazy.

But seriously: Iam going to give this a real shot and post up my results so far. Tonight was the kitchen. Not decluttered yet... maybe, possibly 1/3 of the way there. I decluttered Erica's art crap. Cupboards are next. Then comes our bedroom. Cringe.

What else? I am thinking of writing a "thing" in defense of being slow at gaming. Cause I am REALLY slow at gaming. Still playing Batman AA and I have at least 2-5 hours left to go: I want all the Riddler puzzles. I just defeated Poison Ivy, and I have over 200 of the puzzles found.

I can boot up GOW and you can try to chase me around Ruins. That should speed your gaming up some. The card worked great. The wife says thanx.

Wanna talk about slow? Batman is still looking at me through his plastic covering. Is hawt? Yes. Do I really, really, want to play this? Yes. Do I need sleep? More than ever - so sleepy it is. :)

If you're decluttering the bedroom and I'm not around, I just want to say that I have no idea how those magazines got there.

Funny. I just spent the entire month of August decluttering. I am also lazy. And I had a heck of a mess. In a month, I've reclaimed my bedroom, all hallways and the living room. I quilt and make parchment cards and game. That's a lot of hobbies in a sm. 1 br. apartment. Ikea. 25 section, 6.5 foot by 6.5 foot storage cupboard. And one sixteen year old girl working for 5.25 an hour with way more energy. part of her job, don't let me sit down for more than 1/2 hour for a meal, or more than 10 minutes for a break. She averaged 20 hours a week here. I kept at it the days she wasn't here. It's WONDERFUL! Find a teenager to hire (preferably one with a good work ethic). Make a wall into an organizational unit. And make liberal use of any local donation spots :) I gave away enough fabric to make 30 quilts, plus clothes, appliances, and likely furniture. But it's wonderful! Do it! Oh, and I found a hangout spot for a mouse. Actually, 2 of them. That's enough motivation right there to keep me at it until it's over. That and the white leather sofa/sectional and glider recliner I promised myself when I'm done :) Then you can get lazy when you're done...and enjoy the open space. And have a great gaming night knowing you worked hard to earn it. Totally worth all the sweat. Patty
