The worst thing

Sigh...what is the worst thing that can be said about a nurse?  Well, there are quite a few, like, unprofessional, sarcastic, bad mouthing the doctors, uncaring, and the like.  Well, That would be me!  According to a person I barely remember, I am all of the above.  I had the opportunity to read her complaint, and it was miles long and included every single person she came into contact with at UNC.  Well, that doesn't make me feel better.  Maybe a little.  Some people just find fault in everything.  Sometimes it's because they are scared about their disease, afraid they will die, had a fight with the spouse, who knows??  I was not the only target.  But, it still made me cry to think that someone thought I was such a bad nurse that I would treat them that badly.  That's hurts me in my very soul.


Just wanted to say that.  And, that's all.

man thats fucked up, fuck that person. \r all the nurses ive ever come in contact with always seem to make me feel better then the doctor, i think i have more questions after the doctor leaves then when the nurse is there.\r \r i find what that person had to say about you pretty unbelievable, especially since ive met you and you seem nothing like what that person described.\r \r so i say f that person\r \r

I imagine half of the patients who a trully sick and in need of care are usually drugged up on pain killers, fever redicers, anti-psychotic, anti-anxiety, anisthetic, and/or in possession of one of those DSM diagnoses that make everything in their world shitty.\r \r If someone made a report like that I about me, I would probably think of something witty to say. Something like, I wish she would have brought this to my attention sooner, it must have been a minor misunderstanding/cultural difference/dilema that could have easily been reconciled. It's too bad I that I couldn't confront my accuser in order to make her stay a bit more pleasant.\r \r Fuck em

My wife is an ob nurse and has been working on the same floor for over 13 years now, and she has this one jackass doctor who still thinks its the 1930's and belittles and puts her down any chance he gets. my wife is an RNC with a list of cirtifications a mile long but he still treats her like shit, and sends her home crying every other weekend. I dont know what to do it pisses me off so bad. anyway just wanted to vent, I feel for ya...

@omegamazimus: Yes, nurses take a whole lot of shit for a whole lot of people. I am so glad at my job we all have each other's back, including the docs.

I am an uncaring, sarcastic, unprofessional, nutjob....and I can tell you, you are no such thing. We all see how much you care, and how hard you work. they should allow unjustifiable enthinasia so people will respect their doctors more knowing that their lives are really in their doctors' and nurses' hands...came in with a headache, be an assface, leave in a bodybag....problem solved.

Ouch Automan.. that's a little harsh. who loves you Pen?? huh? who loves you? WE DO! There are morons and assholes everywhere. One of lifes little challenges is weaving through them while getting hit with as little shrapnel as possible. Sad to say this time you were wounded. So you gotta shake it off, give Keesha some lap time and if it comes up at salary review then raise holy hell and point out that the complaint was bogus.
