It's the political bullshit.  Can we knock it off, people? Not everything is a conspiracy. We can't talk about who won the Olympics, Flu shots, a segment on a comedy show  and a million other things without people making it political. And not even political... it's "The Government is out to get you" type conspiracy. I honestly dread reading blogs, comments and off topc stuff now, knowing that eventually it's going to turn into political bullshit.

Hey: Right Wingers... stop it. Just stop it. Your yelling and creaming and carrying on about the evil  of Obama and how he is the next Hitler really does your argument no justice. Even if your sermons are well thought out, you are either preaching to the choir or your constant caterwhaling has deafened others. You lose your audience and that isn't good.  It seems like you want the country to fail just to prove that you were right all along. That is not right.

Hey: Left Wingers: You kinda brought this bullshit on yourself with all the Bush-Hating rhetoric. You made the bed and all... and there are so few of you on the site... so... yeah...

Now stop it, people. The USA has become a nation divided, so learn to work together.

With all due respect, J-Cat, I disagree. This is an ADULT gaming site that deals with more than just gaming. I for one enjoy reading and debating some of the more political issues. I especially like reading some of the blogs about people's family's and the issues that they are having. These are ADULT issues. Shoot, even though I couldn't quite relate to it, I still enjoyed reading some of the more "soap opera" blogs. If it really pisses you off that much, then don't read those blogs. We all know which ones are socialist and which ones are a reasoned discussion of what's going wrong in DC. For the same reason, if you don't like pron, don't look at the NSFW Forums.

Honestly, well said. America has become a Nation divided and we seem to have lost the sense of what America is, differing views but a common love of our Country. Both sides are American and love the USA, so why do we fight and point fingers rather than work together to make change? Simple enough concept and based on conversations with friends from other Countries, they just shake their head at all of the antics from the extreme left and right. The majority of the Country is in the middle, but like a middle child, we seem to get neglected because of all the yelling from either side. So for all of those folks who like to point out the problems and play the blame game, did you ever stop and think you are contributing to the decline of our society by not trying to help, understand or implement change and rather just widen the rift between the current two party system? As I say all the time I am a Liberal Republican, which basically means I like to use my head when it comes to voting on issues rather than follow a prescribe doctrine set forth by the GOP. Common sense has become so far removed from the issues it is almost laughable if it were not true. And the fact that so many folks listen to "political personalities" who are not politicians, would never win if they ran for office and are more biased and self serving than any Senator or Congressman really makes me cringe. Anyway, I like your post J-Cat. Game On folks.

@Claude What the hell does this mean? "We all know which ones are socialist and which ones are a reasoned discussion of what's going wrong in DC." So if you are someone who likes what is happening or are not rabidly against it you are a socialist and if you are anything else you are having a reasoned discussion of what is wrong in DC? Come on man that is exactly the problem. Not all of the policies and change going on are socialist or wrong, and conversely not all of the things are right. But DC and our government work just the way it is meant to, what you should be debating is they way in which it is handled. National Healthcare isn't evil or wrong, it makes sense if we can do it correctly. Spending Billions on our Military isn't wrong or evil, but we need to do it correctly. Government runs the way it does based on how involved we as Americans decide to be. One half of the Country can't be wrong or right, you need to understand that there needs to be a balanced argument and some compromise to keep everyone involved and satisfied. Is it perfect, no, but it is the best system by far and to make statements that are as rigid as you have just done are the reason J-Cat made her post and so many Americans in the middle are sick to death of talking politics.

I agree, this is a very polarized Nation, and both sides contribute roughly equally to the conflict. But it is not unique in that aspect. Canada is an example. Go to Manitoba and listen to the English/French rhetoric. That has been going for decades. Yeah, you guys are smart in that you can turn over your country much faster, but you are not unique, nor is any other nation. I largely blog political topics, in part because I feel knowledge of what our government is doing is important, and in part because I don't game seriously because I don't have the time to devote to being a proper member of a clan. Oh, and I suck. I see no point in silencing political speech for any reason. Yeah, some of what is posted is very off the charts. But as has been said so many times, if you don't like the blog or the blogger, don't read it. It's really quite simple. But since part of your blog was an obvious reference to my recent actions, don't expect me to ignore stupid comments or not to to tweak people who try to pull off thinly veiled public insults as humor. Oh, and there are far more liberals on this site than I think you realize. The vast majority of the site is largely silent, at least in the blogs.

@ Claude Actually there use to be a political forum on this site. It was removed for good reason. This may be an Adult website yes, but it is an adult GAMING website. All politics have done is cause fighting and good people saying bad things in the heat of debate.... and even people being banned.

@Claude Agree 100%. Both sides need a voice and the reason we have such a strong government is because we do have strong opinions. I just don't like the way some try and pigeon hole people into a category. I understand it helps people generalize or associate with other views, but most of us are a mix of beliefs and political viewpoints that may change daily based on what is going on in our lives. Nobody is wrong or right, we are all just trying to find a solution to a problem the best way we can and sometimes we need to step back and ask, why would someone say or do this? I am often surprised at the simplicity of the answer and it helps me make a more informed decision that takes others into account and not just my own personal issues. We are after all a Nation built on so many different religions and backgrounds that it is almost impossible to always see eye to eye, but we are all Americans and nobody wants to see this Country go up in flames just to say I told you so. I love good conversation and I think that MANY folks who blog politics on the site are looking for this and not flames and condemnation.

A blog by it's very nature is a personal thing. Yes you share it with the rest of the site, but it's inherently your own. If you don't wish to read political blogs, then don't. No one is putting a gun to your head and making you read them. Why is it that people always have to tell others what is proper and what isn't in any given venue? Political blogs can only enrage you if you allow them to so the arguement that they are dampening your enjoyment of this site to me just doesn't make any sense. You click the blog you wish you read and should be able to ascertain if it's political or not within the first two sentences. Then if it's something that you have no interest in, click another blog. I think that all of the political blog entries are just as valid here as a blog about someone's divorce, having a child,a new pet, your anger at a local coffee chain, movies you think suck etc. It's all things that affect us in our lives and we wish to share with our peers. I don't forsee any good coming from any attempt to censor the blogs here at 2o2p. As for the Democrats and Republicans? I couldn't care less for either of them, in my opinion they have fed on our pockets for too long.

What funny is that I have been labeled as "left" and "right" based on what I have posted...little as it has been. I usually don't even caption or title things that I post anymore in a hope that someone wont view what I put up with an agenda first and message second. I get more amusement about people calling a viewpoint "stupid" or "idiotic" than the actual point behind what was said. Viewpoints by simple definition can't truly be either. Just because it doesn't "fit" with what another believes doesn't make it stupid...everything that makes up our belief system as a person is a product of our culture and environment from a sociology point of view. So really more than anything, it is perspective...not idiocy that drives views. I'm sure most here have heard that perspective is truth, at least in the mind of the person holding it. More than anything as Americans, we have lost much of our ability to be empathic. I won't bore anyone with why I think that is, but without empathy, it becomes easy to surround ourselves with a personal belief system...kinda like a bunker with barb wire...and beware anyone that tries to infiltrate our "bunker", because we'll come out shooting first and asking questions later.

Ah the dastard understands. You have many realities open to you, one of which is getting butthurt. OR one in which you say, 'Smoke, go fuck yourself' and we both have a giggle and a beer. People are geared to be defensive and anally retentive, free your mind. Reality is based on your perception of it and how you change your reactions. It is not a constant and with practice, you can easily change your own reality to one which is less stressful and way more fun. Unless you enjoy living in pissy moods, gossip and mental manipulation, if so then carry on. Just because something seems one way does not mean it always is... much like what you are fed by Governments. CWUTIDIDTHAR? Enjoy life a bit more and open your mind. This world can be yours for the taking.

We prove we are not (as a majority) truly empathic to individuals every day in our lives...it is just more culturally acceptable to be less empathic to groups. Kind of like the old idiom..."You can see what kind of person someone truly is by how he treats those who can do nothing for him or to him". Its just my observations over the last year. There are people who are consistently (though rare), those who are sometimes, and those who are rarely. I see too many of the latter...
