I have a problem.  The holidays are coming up, very quickly now.  I do believe it is my turn to do Thanksgiving, but I am now separated from gilbert, living in a loft, and having Thanksgiving here would involve trying to make room for 7 other people, yes, including him.  Christmas Eve is the same.  I actually do not have anything to cook or bake with, cuz it is still all at the house.  And, I am by myself, so I have a saucepan, a frying pan, and a casserole dish for cooking.  That is plenty for just me.  I have place settings for 4.  I'm a little short there.  And, even tho I would luv to have the kids here, it just doesn't seem right, let alone how crowded it would be.  My alternative?  Go back to the house for a day, cook like a crazy person, have the family get together, and go home after.  I haven't spoken to him in months.  I know nothing of how or what he is doing.  Uncomfortable, to say the least.  Well, it would give me the chance to get some more of my stuff.

On the lighter side.....I bought a PS3.  Yeh, me and my toys.  So far I have just been staring at it wide-eyed trying to figure out what to do next.  I have to disconnect my xbox to hook up the PS3.  Bummer.  Next on the agenda?  I need another hi def TV so I can have them both going at the same time.  For the kids, ya know.  I can hook up to my laptop.  Not as good, tho.  Screen is toooo small.  The only game I have is Borderlands, which is still in the package.  I am looking at others.  Suggestions?

Boxes from my deliveries are still on the floor.  Kitty has made a bed out of one of them.  Cute.

Hmmm... maybe do a potluck? Or you can have Christmas at a hotel... get 3 rooms everyone has their own space: have dinner at a restaraunt...

You can but an HDMI switch at Monoprice.com for dirt cheap that will solve your dilemma of having both hooked up top one TV. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id... I use the above unit in my home theater and it works perfectly, is cheap and has an IR remote. I never have to leave the chair...:)

You say it's your "turn." How about ask one of the other family members to take your turn instead? Most people would understand I'd guess?

Give the option to have dinner at a restaurant or someone else is host. Haven't spoke in months would make a holiday dinner a bad time to throw everyone together.
