Shared on Wed, 12/09/2009 - 20:08I found this in my inbox today :
Due to inactivity in regards to playing with the clan you have been removed from the active roster. Despite the infrequent posts in the forum, PCP has a "no casual" member clause.
Quote : "Article 7 of the CoCPCP-
7. Missing in Action- PCP has no social members. All members must be active both online and in the forums. Any member who is MIA for an extended period will be removed from the Platoon and deposited in the MIA Roster and or you will be discharged from the clan. This includes keeping up with the website i.e. - News, Forums and posting at least once a month. If you are going to be away for an extend period of time, tell us, and post it in the forums. All members should attend 1 clan night per month even if it's only for an hour or two. If you decide to move on for whatever reason, as long as it is on good terms and handled with a staff member and or OL, you can reapply to the Clan at a later date. Should you be asked to leave or if your departure from the Clan is less than friendly you should consider your exit a permanent discharge from the Porkchop Platoon."
You are active online and do play COD, however you do not play with PCP on our clan night nor do you play during the week with the clan. If you wish to discuss please PM an OL and we will review a request for reinstatement pending a probationary period.
The PCP Staff
Here is a little backstory :
I have been in PCP since the damn near beginning(1 month after it started). I have had tons of good times, laughs and made good friends. For the 1st year I was online almost everyday playing COD4 with the clan. Into year 2 I started pumping out the kids, got a new job and got married. I had a lot of shit going on in my life but I still took the time to post in the forums on a daily basis. In fact I have 2891 posts and I bet 2800 of the are in the pcp forums. This is without the useless post whoring threads that go on there. On top of that I still got online a few times a week and ALWAYS attended Clan Night. In fact I often hosted Clan Night and was known as one the best hosts who consistently had kickass rooms that would go well into the night. I continued to host up until about a month before MW2 dropped. I stopped at that point due to some random bullshit in PCP that I won't get into. Anyways, since then I have showed up to most of the Clan Nights(maybe only an hour or so each) BUT I did make an appearance. I also have played with numerous PCP member since MW2 dropped. So how is posting everyday in Clan Forums and playing online with members grounds for dismissal?? Simply put, it is not. I along with many others were kicked for one reason and one reason only. Our affiliation with another COD clan.
The upper management in PCP has not been able to come to grips with ARXV since it was formed. Any other COD clan out there and especially one that has former PCP members is somehow seen as a threat. How, I don't know. Insecurities? jealousy? Who knows? Maybe it is the fact that ARXV works together as a team AND respects its members.
Why am I writing this and why am I going public??? Well, because I can and because I was afforded no other opportunity to speak my piece. Did they really think I'd check my PMs and be like "Oh, cool. pcp removed me for no apparent reason". I have a ton of good friends in PCP whom I have shared many a good time with so I think my response is natural. I never got to say goodbye. So, to all the non douchebags, goodbye. We had a good run. Many of you I will still see online and I hope to get some games in with you. And if any of you ever get sick of the drama and want to play on a team that communicates and likes to win, LET ME KNOW. Because unlike some in PCP we will let other people not in our clan play with us. On a nightly basis we accomodate others(mainly PCPers) and play Ground War not because we want to, but because we are good guys and we don't want to leave a guy hanging out alone.
This blog will be the end of it. The book has been written. And despite being told in Meemoos blog to "Don't Go Public", I don't give a shit. This is something that mattered to me and I am entitled to write about it. I have said all I need to say. Sure I can air a shitload of dirty laundry, but I don't need to.
In closing PCP can be a great clan, has some great members and has some good intentions but until they sort shit out the drama will never end. The clan is just too big. So to any prospect or anyone considering PCP, enter at your own risk. It is hit or miss. It it works out for you great. If not, there are plenty of other options on 2o2p. Check out clans like 2old4 BS, 2old4timmy, ARXV, etc. As far as I know they are drama free clans. In fact 2old4timmy was formed by ex-PCPers who left due to other typical PCP bullshit.
Peace out. And to all my buddies in PCP this blog isn't about you. In fact most of you never see half of the drama in PCP and that is a good thing. This is about the dudes at the top. I have no hard feelings whatsoever towards 90 percent of the members and will continue to hold you in high regard. See you online.
P.S. And yes Kerdaq, if you or Slee or whoever want to do a private chat online, by all means I am game. Just don't bring your gang of cronies with you like last time when you bombarded us in Site Chat. Let's keep this fight to 1vs1 this time.
