Ok, so after a few days of having the A40's and comparing them this is what I have found.......

Comfort -- As far as comfort they are both very comfortable and can be worn for hours without realizing they are there.  The only difference is when you take them off and wear them around you neck (which I do from time to time) the astro's fold around your neck nicely and are much more flexible in that way than the X41's

Sound -- Sound is good in both headsets, the X41's have a base boost, but I find that when you use it, it drowns out a lot of the sounds that you need to hear when knowing what direction people are coming from.  The x41's are a lot louder than the astro's in the fact that they have some static when everything is quiet and sometimes have some popping and crackle due to the wiirelessness of the headset and getting interfierance with wireless xbox and cell phones and things of that sort.  The astro's have a much better mic in my opinion and is a lot more receptive and you don't have to have it all that close to your mouth.

Cords vs Cordless -- Ok, if you like wireless and can't have a bunch of cords strung out everywhere then the x41's are for you.  They are a good headset and help you out in gaming a lot!!!  The astro's come with a lot of cords and that is ok because they are multipurpose and can work with PC xbox PS3 and pretty much anything you want to hear through headphones or use your voice with.  They all have their purpose for whatever you are plugging them into.

Outside Noise -- A big difference that I noticed is the outside noise.  In the X41's you can hear a lot of what is going on around you.  The astro's are better in this aspect because they have ear covers that keep all of the other sound out.  Now if you want to hear other sounds around you, you can take the outside covers off and it lets other sounds into the ear pieces.  Also the ear pieces are interchangable so that you can plug the mic in on the right or left side, or you can take the mic off and it has two covered ear pieces so that you can use them as just the headphones.  And also if you need to walk away from your gaming area there is a quick disconnect so that you can leave everything and keep your headset around you neck.

Overall I am very impressed with the A40's.....I heard a lot of reviews before I purchased them and comparisons and I am impressed overall more than I thought I would be since there were some bad things that were said about them comparing them to other headsets, but I would take them over anything I have used before.  Any questions you guys have let me know and I will try to answer them.

I tried out both the A40s and Trittons AXPros and like the AxPros better. One thing for sure is that I can't see anyone finding the A40s to be $140 better than the Trittons.
