Blogging is dumb and so is your face

I'm just kidding about your face.

I'm officially fired in 60 days. I got my federally-mandated "WARN notice" in the mail. Looking forward to being done because I've been training in replacements for the last couple months and it sucks. Nobody will do my job as well as me! 

 I haven't got my new gig figured out yet. But I'm confident I'll have it all sorted out soon. I'm still playing the waiting game to time it all so that I can collect severance.

Outside of work, the hubby has been sick lately and the doctor doesn't know what is wrong. He suspects Crohn's or a similar illness. That is beyond frustrating. I officially need to stay off Web MD because I go to bed convinced that he's dying of some horrible disease. After losing a decent amount of weight (and he's not a big guy) and barely eating for a couple weeks, the doctor put him on prednisone. It's been like night and day how he feels - which is good...But that's not a drug you can take long-term. And who wants to be on drugs anyway? Fuck that. He's going to a specialist next week to hopefully get a definitive diagnosis. In the meantime I've been reading a shit-ton on nutrition and have put us both on a much healthier diet. I threw away all dairy products in the house. That pains my soul because I could eat a brick of cheese a day. No more nachos (and sidenote, soy cheese taste like weeds interwoven with asshole). We're eating meat only a few times a week. And our fridge is full of vegetables. On Sunday I spent two hours with the food processer making hummus and salsa for veggie dips. Now we just have to wait for the specialist appointment. They're going to scope him. I asked him if he wanted to practice  but he declined my generous offer. I guess I'll just stick to cooking. =)
