Shared on Sun, 04/04/2010 - 01:10Normally I am a big time Action movie Guy. But being a father of three means that I have to watch a lot of kids movies. Of example on the week end that Avatar opened my boys really wanted to go so we went. The problem was that my daughter did not want to see avatar she wanted to see the Alvin and the Chipmunk movie. Being that my wife knew how big of a fan of that type of movie I am I thought that she would happily go to the chipmunk movie and let me go to Avatar. But I was wrong. She gave me some excuse that her cousin was a extra in the movie and she really want to try and see him in the movie. (Ya I know I smelled BS to, really she did not want to see the chipmunk movie). Being a good Dad I took my little girl to see the Alvin and the chipmunk movie and it sucked but we I had a great time. She thought that it was great to go to the movies with just her Dad.
So tonight was another one of those nights when I watch a movie not because I want to but because I want to have a movie night with my kids. Tonight’s movie was "Old Dogs" with Robin Williams and John Travolta. To start off the movie was bad there is nothing else to say about it, but in a way that kids love. There was just enough people getting hit in the ball and adults acting like idiots to make my kids happy. In short if you and your kids want to have a nice movie night it is a great movie for that, but if you are an adult and you are looking for a good movie to watch a Friday night the do not watch this movie.
