Most people who know me know I'm a closet Anglophile. In my - ahem - youth, I watched the Marty Feldman Show; Monty Python, The Prisoner, (Did you know that Patrick McGoohan was born in Astoria, Queens, NY? Thanks for the correction, Wayne!) The Champions, The Avengers, Captain Scarlet, and UFO. I followed that up a bit later with Doctor Who, Fawlty Towers and a continuing obsession with Sherlock Holmes, especially Jeremy Brett (The Best Sherlock Holmes Who Ever Lived™).

But it's English girls that usually captivate me, if the truth be known. The UFO series was cool not just for the usual Gerry Anderson SFX or really good stories with characters portrayed by very skilled actors; the series also had hot English babes in silver miniskirts.

And that has continued into my decrepitude with ladies like the inestimably scrummy Kate Beckinsale of Underworld. The embedded video explains why...

Another slow weekend for gaming news in general and Call of Duty news in particular. Today's featured MW2 vid is a clutch (fragging remaining enemy team in a S&D match) while the player, MrDunkus, is stuck on the map. After the brief CoD-related news jump, there's an MW2 Free-for-all match on Crash played by Junkyard129. He's an average gamer, and I love his stuff because he comments on his average gameplay like a real person, not like some game-snobby dickwad. You can check out his website, Video Game Clips, for more game vid goodness. Finally, CallOfDutyComedy has an MW2 lucktage clip with a musical audio, On to the CoD links:
- GamesRadar: Reminder: Big Call of Duty: Black Ops reveal due this month.
- Call of Duty Strategy: Speculated Black Ops weapons list. (Thanks to dug_star1 for the tweeted link!)
- Thinq: Activision fighting fit despite 35 defections.
