Feels like Monday...

I only came into work today because I have lunch plans with one of my BFFs that works downtown as well. We're sad that we won't be able to have our weekly lunch plans now that I'm going to be working across town starting in June. I'm really excited about starting my new job though. And even more excited to get double-paid for 3 months - booyah! It will definitely have been worth it to stick around this awful place and wait it out to collect severance. But in the meantime, I have this week and the next two to hang out with the skeleton crew with almost no work to do. I'm working from home again tomorrow.

And I will play Halo...I played the Reach beta almost the entire day yesterday. I thought I would be awesome by the end of the day, but it turns out it doesn't work like that. Does anyone know if Halo matches people up based on skill? I feel like I have decent games when I play alone (which is boring) and terrible games when I play with other people (which is more fun, but frustrating when you suck). The same thing happens to me when I play CoD. There's something slightly more frustrating when you're inconsistently bad. When I have a game where I get a +10 spread, it makes the ones where I have -10 spreads that much more annoying...Eh, whatever. I'll just keep playing and harrassing people to give me playing tips.

And another benefit to working from home, eating Buffalo Chicken Nachos for lunch. Thanks J-Cat for giving me the idea to put a recipe in my blog (send me your pizza crust one too then I can make Buffalo Chicken pizza.)

**Put 6 chicken breasts in a crock pot with a jar of Frank's Hot Wing Sauce and a packet of ranch seasoning. (You can use other hot wing sauces, but Frank's has minimum calories. Some of the brands are mostly butter and are hella-fatty) . Cook until done and then shred with two forks or in a food processor. Top tortilla chips with cheese and the chicken to make buffalo nachos or use the chicken to make buffalo sandwhiches...NOM!

Reach/Halo one tip is to try and always be in at least pairs for team shooting, also a drawback of playing with friends that are good at the game....=less kills available for U, lol. Like the sound of the nachos...my fave super easy crockpot-4or5 lbs boneless country pork ribs, one sliced onion, 18 oz bbq sauce-cook on low bout 9 hours. EeeeZeee.

i have the same problem in halo also T. sometimes its luck, sometimes its just the way you play. i like to run around a lot. some games the other team does the same and i end up running into groups of them. im not much of a camper, but i do like to lock down buildings occasionally. you can usually get a couple good kills just sitting in a certain area. but they usually bum rush you after a bit. make sure you use your pistol for the longer range fights when you dont have a dmr.

To answer your Halo questions....cause well what else matters....if you are playing with smimilar skilled friends, then you shouldnt have an issue with opponents but if your friends are ranked that much higher than you, then that is probably why you are running into harder matches with friends. On your own, your ranking is probably low enough that you are being matched up with other similar skilled players which is why you are able to hold your own. Solution: Get really awesome Halo skilled friends like myself... or um well really that's the only solution I have. Am I to assume with the new job you'll be making the trip to Chicago in August Taco?
