Niagra Falls: Great Wold Lodge

My Father inLaw treated up to 3 days at the Great Wolf Lodge in Niagra Falls. What is Great Wold Lodge? Only the best place on fucking earth! Huge kid-oriented resort/waterpark.

It's indoor and outdoors: tons of waterslides athat are segregated by height. The little ones don't ahve to worry about getting run over by big kids: Big kids can have fun without worrying about running over little kids. There are buckets of water that kids can fill up and dump on people's heads as they walk under (we called this "Rotten Little Boy Row") but at the same time, it's kinda marked where the water can and can not hit you. Alls fair in love and water something something.

Other than the super fun at the waterpark, one of the thing I appreciated is the kitchen. There is a buffet... pricey: but all buffets are pricey unless you are in downtown Vegas. As you guys know, Erica has a peanut allergy. Yep: we are those parents who check every label, bring her her own treats to functions and she's the reason why your kid can't bring in PB&J. sorry about that. We just don't want her to have to be hospitalized and so on 9i.e. die).  So nyeah: eating out has it's own challenges. At GWL, whenever we sat down, we owuld tell our waitress that Erica had a peanut allergy. She called over the sous-chef. S/He would tell us what was good (almost everything) and whatwas not good (bread, pastries, desserts) Soft-serve was okay. Anyway, it's that attention to kid's safety AND fun that made the stay top fricking notch.

Ah... Downtown Niagra... I have no idea how to explain it. I think it's like a tackeir Coney Island. Lots of wax museums and haunted houses. Ripley's Beleive it or Not started there (I think...) and arcades. Lots of arcades.

I never went to an arcade as a kid. Either they were too scuzzy, too far away or we were too poor. Probably a combo of all of the above. Either way this was a new experience for both Erica and I. Holy hell, does that kid love arcades. She rocked the "whack a Duck" game and pwned this popcorn game. Will post up video soon.

anyway: it's been an insane week. Had a great time. Was offline for all of it.
