My Buddy: Walking Ad for Birth Control...

Not in the way that you might think...

I *just* got off the phone with my friend. She's off work, has 2 lovely boys. And is pregnant with #3. Wanted, but NOT planned. She gave her husband a one night "Happy Birthday" and... well... got knocked up. AND (the funny thing is) according to the calendar, she was not in a high fertility zone...  The other two were that easy too.

She said if they throw their underwear in the same hamper they get pregnant.

We had a good laugh: they knew each other from high school, got married in their early 20s and didn't have their first until their 30s. BUT they were *paranoid* in high school... and practiced safe sex EVERY SINGLE TIME. We were jsut saying how thankful she was that she was that paranoid: they might have 8 by now!

Ah fertility... so funny.

Either way... I am excited for them.  But man... he's not allowed to look at her sideways until he gets snipped. (according to her)

HaHa!! At least they want a third even if the timing is off. 2 shots 2 kids for us. My wife thought it took the fun out of trying. Didn't matter though, she still managed to tucker me out.

I wish a college friend would learn that. His oldest just graduated from High School and his wife is expecting again. NUMBER TEN !!!!

My wife and I are the carbon copies of your friends obviously. However, we were NOT as careful as we should have been in our early years, which meant starting the family early (her 20, I 22). Our second and third were planned. HOWEVER, no sooner had we started trying than BLAM!...she's preggo. I have friends who went a few months at least of near daily quickies in the effort to get knocked up. I hear those stories and just can't help to feel I'm the one who got screwed...not the Mrs.

My cousin's pregnancies stopped being family news at #4, we don't even find out about her new ones until we see her at Christmas. I think she has 8, but I can't remember anymore. all were planned and wanted- her reason still stands as "I have such beautiful babies, why would I ever want to stop? it wouldn't be fair to them."

For her own peace of mind, wouldn't your friend want to be the one that gets "snipped"?
