Fitbit!

I got my fitbit yesterday. I had ordered this thing probably two, maybe three months ago. They were on backorder forever...

I started wearing it before I went to bed and have had it on all morning. This thing is pretty sweet. It uploads automatically through wi-fi so I just keep checking my stats on the webpage. As I see the sedentary numbers grow, I keep finding excuses to go talk to people - ha! We'll see how long that lasts.

And tonight, I download Monday Night Combat! I'm hoping it will tide me over for a month until the good games start dropping.

We had ours arrive while we were at the LAN. Checking your stats, you sleep much deeper than we do....I only registered 6 hours of sleep and woke 12 times. I didn't even make it half way to my goal yesterday.

My wife and kid both wore something similar for a time, can't remember what it's called, a jitterbug or some shit. They were pretty expensive and came with a monthly fee to upload and track your data online. I'll have to check this thing out you found, see if it's cheaper.

Wow, that thing is cool! It mixes two of my favorite things - geeking out with stats and gadgets, along with one of my most hated things - being good about exercise. Keep us up to date on your experience with it.

All - it's $99 and stats/website are freemium model. Free for basic, $49 a year for upgraded shit.

Can it tell when you are having sex? I'd want to make sure it tracks that 30 seconds of activity for me.....

How does it know the calories eaten? Do you have to enter that? This thing would be totally worth it just for the sleep pattern detection. If its accurate?

The barrier to entry on this for me is the price. It is something I could completely get into though.

That's awesome! I have a Body Bugg, which seems pretty similar. I am totally addicted to checking my stats throughout the day.

You have to log what you eat.. I need to log a few more sleeps before I say for sure how accurate it is. But, so far so good since I slept well last night.
