Nomad,
I see you wrote this a while ago, I hope you and your mom are doing ok. Yeah, I know, I just hit 39 myself and last year, I just started thinking about what can and often does happen as we get older-to ourselves, our parents, our brothers and sisters, kids, friends and everybody else. I got really freaked out for about half a year. Fortunately I attend 12 step support meetings and I had people to share that stuff with and get support. I've found I can trust God, and everything will be ok, even though I am basically just a 39 year old kid who plays Halo 3. We're all growing up together though, and we can help each other, so keep the faith buddy! Maybe I'll see you online sometime.

Well Nomad I have to say I can very much relate w/ your situation w/ your parents, I am 34 and I freaking find myself sometimes at night thinking of how old my parents are and how I took for granted that they would always be around. It really gets hard when they start to get sick and etc...... Oh well hope everything is going good and btw nice job on your first blog keep up the good work. Lost
I had a monkey......................but he was BAD and had to be spanked!!!!! :)
By the way, did you see how upset the first poster was under the article.

There's no shame in caring for your parents.
I live in Switzerland, and when I go home, I notice my folks in the UK are getting perceptibly older, and it's scary.
I still like a kid at times in this big world, and the one's who always made it seem safer were my folks.
I will, infact, be moving back to England for the summer, to get married and promote my business over there. I will be living very near to mom and dad, and will enjoy the chance to see them on a more regular basis.
Hang in there man.Just caring about your mom, and letting her know it will do her a great deal of good. You are both in my thoughts. Ben

God bless you mom Steve. My mom right now is battling lung cancer and it's the most harsh reality you need to face.
Hope the Irish have a good season this year. The secondary really needs help. Great recruiting this year but the fruits will pay off in two years or so. And who will step to fill Quinn's shoes?

Dude I know noting of the Irish Football even though I live here lol...I'm from St.Louis originally and am not really a football fan. I sure miss my Cardinals though.
Thank you for saying that about my Mom I appreciate that, I will say a prayer for your Mom as well.
