Shared on Fri, 09/17/2010 - 07:39Had the second attempt at carpet cleaning yesterday. Went very well - and cost about the same as the first attempt. The carpets look great. Two great things happened during the cleaning. First, the first place called about the negative review my girl left for them on Kudzu. "Hello, we just want you to know that we take reviews seriously, and we'll get someone out there right away to inspect the job". My girl replied "that's okay, we've got Kiwi Carpets in here now". Click. Second thing - the guy was there for like 3 hours, just being very thorough in his job. My girl remarked about how good it looked compared to the previous day, and he was bewildered. He said the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while, and pulled the pads off of his machine. They were filthy. So, the first company didn't do shit, possibly because we didn't bite on their upsell. Oh well.
The cats continue to be freaky. The 4 year old is being very aggressive to his mother still. It seems to be getting worse. I'm segregating the two for a couple of days, as she's scared out of her mind, and he's just being a jerk. Taking him to the vet tomorrow morning to make sure there's no underlying medical reason for his poor attitude. He's sweet as can be around me, he's just terrorizing his poor mom, and being a little aggressive to his sister. I have Felliway plug ins in the areas both cats will be sequestered in. Hopefully, we'll see some improvement soon.
Moderate week in college ball this weekend. I'll take a stab at some predictions.
Bama @ Duke - no contest. Bama 55 Duke 6
Arkansas @ UGA - This one is interesting, as Arkansas is a team I think can beat my Tide. Will UGA catch them looking ahead? I'll pick Arky here.
Florida @ Tennessee - Florida will open the game up in the 3rd quarter and win by 24.
Clemson @ Auburn - I'd love to see Clemson piss on Auburn's blue-out gimmick. I just don't think they're man enough to beat Auburn at home at night.
Mississippi State @ LSU - If MSU had a decent QB and receivers, I'd pick them, but I see LSU winning a close one.
I'll just stick to the SEC for now, some other games of interest are ND@MSU, BYU@FSU, ECU@VT, GT@UNC, UT@TTU
Should be a good weekend.
