Gaming Withdrawl

I, like so many others, pre-ordered Reach and spent Tuesday waiting for the UPS man to delivery my bundle of goodies. I had to work that night so I knew I was going to get limited time with it. When it finally got there I got maybe 5 hours of play time before I had to take off. Wednesday I maybe got another 2 hours in. Since than, almost a week now, I haven't been able to power up any of my gaming systems.

It has just gone nuts, between planned appointments, my regular 50+ hour work week, household upkeep and outside errands I have not had any time to play anything. Every day I think, "OK, I should be able to get all this done and still have a few hours to play before heading off to work", and everyday something unexpected pops up to throw my plans asunder. I haven't even been able to finish the campaign yet and have just dipped my toe into match making.

I really hope that over the next couple of days things will start to settle down close to normal and give me some precious time with "Teh Haloz." This is my first Halo experience so I was really looking forward to diving in and finding out what all the fuss is about. So far I don't have enough time in the universe to make any kind of assessment.

I have Thursday and Friday off this week so hopefully I'll be able to put some serious time into the game. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
