Shared on Mon, 09/27/2010 - 07:03Spent some time in the AM and PM yesterday with Mom at the nursing home. She's coming along really well, and it looks like Wednesday will be the homecoming day for sure. At Noon, I ventured forth to enjoy Spirit of Beacon Day and the fabled sausage and peppers at Saint Rocco's booth. Bob 'The Mayor' Phillips and the lovely Jessica were my companions. It was great running into Rose and Dennis Quirk there, along with Valerie Brown. The company was pleasant enough for me to overcome my hippie allergy and listen to Pete Seeger and company wow the sandal-wearing crowd with some top-notch folk banjo and singing. All in all, a splendid day. My only wish was that more of my friends could have made it to enjoy it with us.
It's a Call of Duty 4 double feature today! The featured vid is BrassMonkeigh sniping up a storm on my least favorite map of all time, Bog. In the second vid, Gmoney provides some commentary on a match on Strike. Moving on...
