Will we have the dreaded HTML screw-over today?

    Today is the First of October, and I'm dispensing with my usual chattiness regarding the origin of the month name. You can click the linky in 'October' above, if that's of interest to you.
    I'm trying to get back on track after being derailed on the blogging by a combination of family duties and recreational activities. (I'll give you three guess which one was more fun...) Sunday got wiped out by 'Spirit of Beacon Day', which was a tremendous blast. Monday and Tuesday were prep days for Mom's homecoming, and Wednesday, we finally got her home. Reibo and I managed to get out on Wednesday night, and that put the final kibosh on any blogging for Thursday. I was really tired, and I wound up sleeping hours past my usual departure time for parts North. Tossed into the mix is the storm which, as this Vent is being written up, is still raging. Up here in Albany, many streets are closed off due to flooding, and it'll be a coin toss whether I can actually reach my apartment this AM.
   I've got a blog for today, Friday, but I also have to stay late at work this AM for a meeting, so it's a crap shoot whether I'll be able to cobble together one for Saturday or not. I still have a test possibly hanging over my head for that morning, too, tho I hear that the tester may be scheduled for a day off, thus giving me a reprieve until next week.
