Earth Fair,... and more?

Easy weekend. No problems and gaming fulfilled. Think the only problem is getting through Reach on legendary solo. Went to an earth fair here today. Much to do and see. Wait! Well, maybe there was one problem. Interesting to see three pro-life booths scattered around the event. With populations rising, you think they would have contraceptive booths instead. Now a question, how do you answer to a 10 year old boy what an abortion is? I can answer the idea and procedures, which I did, lightly. But, ever since children were created, there is always one question that always follows, “Why?” Why is the sky blue? Why do mosquito bites itch? Why do cats purr? Why do women have abortions? This was a rather touchy subject to explain to my son. His mother and I had to go through the choices of keeping him, aborting, or giving him up for adoption. I made a promise to his mother that I would always be there for her, so it made it easier for her to choose to raise a child together. So, after she left us (she didn’t make the same promise), she made a mistake in Vegas and chose to abort in that case. Who does she ask to drive her to the clinic: the one fool that said would always be there for her. So, knowing my son to be a bright boy, I gave off many reasons for people to have abortions. If the health of the mother is an issue, the parents were not ready, and in case of fetal developmental defects. He got the idea since I pushed mainly if the mother’s health can be an issue as in past experiences with diabetics. He accepted my explanation. Odd thing though, my son knows a lot about natural science, life science (yes, he knows where babies come from), and general life, but he still believes in a tooth fairy. Guess being native helps with the quietness in switching the goods in his sleep. That, and he gets rather hard to find currency in exchange, two dollar bills, sacagawea dollar coins, and half dollar coins. No regular person can find such things easily, wink wink.
