I found this funny clip on Youtube while I was looking for another. Part of me is crying because they killed BUCK which is like killing Nathan Fillion, which is sadness. The other part of me totally giggles that the programers assumed you would kill him.

Anyway, the real point of this post is my love for Nathan Fillion. He had a nod to Firefly in Castle last season which was a total squeeeeeee moment

Imagine my joy this season when ODST/Reach got a nod

Sergeant Buck has an affinity for the phrase "Bam, said the Lady"

ODST may as well be 'Firefly in New Mombossa' as not only Nathan Fillion, but Alan Tudyk and Adam Baldwin as well. And then you have the BSG connection with Tricia Helfer. From what I've read in interviews, all three of those crews are big fans of each others work, so it's really fun to see them borrowing actors and putting little homages in their works.

Wouldn't killing Buck in Reach be a time paradox for the ODST timeline? Earth was attacked after Reach if I can remember through my rum fogged thought process. Makes my head hurt in thinking Marty Mcfly could of given a rat's ass about keeping his parents' love life alive when he went back in time. Still, there is another lady gamer I play with that shares your affinity for the Firefly star. He is just pure bate for the ladies I guess.

lol yeah, it does cause problem. I dont think easter eggs are really considered Canon lol.

I had seen the "Space Cowboy" reference in Castle when it aired, and was giggling like a little kid. There are several Firefly/Serenity references in other shows and video games, ie. a Firefly shows up in a scene in Battlestar Galactica, and a couple of the Trophies in Socom 4 are named "I call her Vera", a reference to Jayne's prize gun, and "Shiny!", how many times was that said in the series? :)
