Opinionated? more online or in person?

So I was thinking ealier do you feel people are more opinionated online or in person? I started thinking about this cause I was looking at FB,TWITER and whatever else I go on and  noticed that the people that post arent as opinionated in person as they are online..Now I'm sure there are those out there that are the same but if you ethink about how many people grow this anatomy cause they safe in their own home, but get that same person in front of you and you noticed they maybe shy and not really talk much. I feel when Ive met others from online I have to hold back as if not to scare them away mabey with my off sence of humor or just plain being myself . I do feel the internet has given some people social strength that they wouldn't have normally and I'm sure it helps them in some small way but I've seen these people with such strong post about whatever is on their mind or political views and they will defend that post to the end and then you meet them and it's the complete oposite of what they are like online  almost a let down in way, even if they didn't like what I said and put me in my place and I give them the respect for that but to not be that same person that had that strong opinion really throws me off..I tend to wonder if I set expectations to high on this area or am I right in this view then again could it be both??
