I see most of my 2old2play friends are playing it as well. So much has been written/said about the game already, I doubt I can add anything cogent.
I've had some weird encounters some here in real life and some in the game. I handed off my controller to a friend who just this morning told me "haha, I don't like games" (and I pointed out to her that her addiction to Angry bird qualifies as a game) but she argued...no, it's not the same. So I had to do something, created a character (with her input) and then handed her the controller. Her daughter went out to the garage. I went to walmart. She spent 6 hours sitting in my recliner enjoying a game! Skyrim! Her daughter had to peel her out of the chair to take her home. I think it's a hit. If a friend who doesn't game can't stop (to the point I can go to Wal mart and come back) and she's still playing, I think there's not much left to say.
If you want to have a truly absorbing, unique, unpressured experience, this is the game. I think I might have met the best game ever made, as far as atmosphere and just ultimate freedom goes. Next we'll have to move to the platform of well, it hasn't really been invented yet.
This game is better than ice cream. Or chocolate.
