Those of you who aren't please see my other blog entries so get caught up. I went to my parents house last night to drop off my father's car as mine is in the body shop after the accident and the second I walk into the house my father says I need to talk to you. Right away I get a knot in my stomach feeling that it's not going to be good. He then proceeds to tell me that he needs to have brain surgery which is related to the legion that he had a radiation treatment on back in October 2010. My father has had several seizures lately one of them severe enough to land him in the emergency room back in the beginning of December. Well after having an MRI on his brain recently they noticed that the scar tissue in his brain is growing at such an alarming rate that they had the chief neurosurgeon at Sloan Memorial Kettering review his case. He has little to no use of his left hand and like me my father is left handed. On top they are now not 100% sure that all of the cancer cells are dead so they recommended surger which my father reluctlantly took. To complicate things the mass is in a very sensitive of the brain so they have to be pinpoint preicise in removal. His surgery is scheduled for January 31st and needless to say I will be right there with him like I have been every step along the way. Let me finish with this 1 point: cancer fucking sucks and it needs to diaf BIG time!
