I'm still shaken by went on with Schroeder.  When the Zeds get wound up they become loud and aggressive.  Out of fear the pack might move my way or worse spot me I retreat back up into the hills.  I figure I'll watch from the hills and then when they move on I will come see what Schroeder has left me.

The Zeds seem to linger around for 10 minutes just picking over the Sgt.'s corpse.  Finally they amble away slowly grunting - full from their feed but always looking for more.  I crouch and move down the hill slowly.  I'm still pretty far away but still very cautious.  When I get to about 200 feet away from Schroeders corpse I decide that a low profile belly crawl is in order.  My hunger is near critical at this point.  If Schroeder doesn't have even a can of beans on him I may not make it.   I see movement coming towards me....another survior is crouching and walking.  I'm not sure if has seen me yet....do I let him know I see him?  Do I lay silent and hope he doesn't see me?

As he approaches his intentions become more clear.  He must have been watching Schroeders demise as I was and is closing in to steal what I believe to already be mine.  I need food.

"Liam friendly?" I enquire.  Imediately the future thief goes prone.  But he does not respond.

"Liam are you friendly?"  I ask again.

"yeah" he says.

"I can't see you," he continues.

Good.

"Ok - I need food bad.  You can have everything else from Schroeders pack - I just need any food," I demand.

"I have lots of food," Liam says.

I stand up in a crouch position.  Liam stands up in a crouch position.  We can both see each other.  I'm not sure I trust him and I'm pretty sure he doesn't trust me.  But I'm desperate.  Slowly I make way towards him.

"Please - I need food."  No sooner do I say it he starts dumping cans of food from his pack on to the ground in front of us.

"LIAM YOU SAVED ME!" I exclaim.  I'm so thrilled.  I have a buddy who is helping me.  A party of 2 is so much stronger than a lone wolf.  Things are looking up.

"CRACK! CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!"  Liam fires four rounds into me as I am bent over picking up cans of beans, pasta and sardines.

And with that - I am no longer a survivor.

"Sorry Pal" Liam says as the screen goes black.

==========================================

I can't believe that fucking kid killed me lol  I was in such shock because it seemed I had an ally and food - I was going to live I was so happy.....and then instantly so dead.  Maybe it's karma for killing Jeff and watching Schroeder die.  I made it so far up in those hills after a sniper attack, and 2 zombie swarms, I made it through the night and then I was betrayed.   I told Liam I was coming for him lol  and I actually did manage to find my way back to where I died but he logged off a little while later.

Lol thats awesome! Earlier while watching the vids you posted; I was thinking the same thing as Liam. Drop resources infront of people to get them to let their guard down then kill them while they are being greedy bastards! lol thats great. I like liam, but I understand why he must die!

Liam will pay for it in the long run.  In the game you have "humanity" basically killing 2 people in the game will cause you to be at a negative humanity.  Once that happens you become a "bandit'.  Same as a survivor in every regard - except you look like a terrorist which lets everyone else know "you kill people" in the game.  You can gain humanity back but it is very slow and you must do so by healing other players.  When people see a bandit they either GTFO or try and kill the bandit before they are killed by the bandit.  If I had seen Liam as a bandit I would have either killed him, stalked him or avoided him initially.

That bastard lol!
