Shared on Sun, 06/03/2012 - 21:39My curiosity finally got the better of me. I was watching Bizarre Foods and was taken by how a majority of the people who tried it were repulsed by it. It didn't sound that bad. The people who are raised eating it seem to love it. How could there be two extremes? I needed to try it. I searched every grocery store in my area. No one carried it. Undaunted, I checked Amazon. There it was, only $13.00 shipped. Three days later it came. Got some bread, toasted it, then I smeared it on.Tried it.
Worst
Thing
Ever
I can honestly say that it's the worst thing I have ever eaten in my entire life.

I've been in need of a hobby ever since your mom stopped putting out.

She stopped because you weren't giving her any vegemite......this might bring her back!

I was giving it to her but she made me stop. It kept giving her yeast infections.

I had Marmite, the British version of Vegemite.
I loved the stuff! Tasted very tangy and salty. Went great on toast with cheese.
The great thing about your post is I now know I can buy Vegemite on Amazon! Thanks for that info, friend. I'm going to buy some now - seriously!
P.S. The weirdest thing I ever tasted - but still highly recommend to the adventurous such as yourself - is Durian, the King of Fruits. It is nigh impossible to get fresh in the U.S., but is worth trying if you ever get the chance. It has a consistency somewhat like a mix between banana and pudding. It tastes like vanilla pudding mixed with onion. It smells really strong but tastes incredible. Highly recommended!
