I read one article on 9/11 and then I read comments of those who blame blame blame. Do we all just cry about the blood that has been shed or complain about what is not done? I know you who read this are like me: we remember so as not to forget sacrifice and we continue to praise those who are brave by living each day to do better. I am sad but I do not despair because for every asshole I meet, I meet many more awesome individuals. The more people I see, the more angels I witness.
I know this community would not see themselves as angels or great super beings, but in all honesty a kind word or a hug (even a mental one) shows great reverence for another living being. I know there are many people who can’t see beyond themselves, but I do declare I know many people who see the world as a place to build and to educate. I’m not going to jump out of my hippy airplane and pull my parachute of kumbaya, but I have to say I am continually impressed by those who surround me.
Events transpire that we cannot predict and we cannot anticipate; they can be horrible and emotionally decimating. This is life, this is our life. We do not stand alone; it is not how we were put together by the great super green alien brains with five legs. We must always rebuild, we must always learn.
You knock down my house of sticks,
I build one of stone.
You tear out my heart,
I grow one anew.
You step on my rights,
I hold you to my morals.
You oppress,
I release.
You kill,
I heal.
You seek vengeance,
We will strive for justice.
You may murder and terrorize,
But I will always strive for peace.
I don’t just stand for America, I stand with the world. In all my travels and I have gone far and wide, I only end up meeting the best of people even in some of the darkest places.
Shine a light on this world and you will see how beautiful we make it glow.
Always remember, never forget, love thy neighbor and fight the good fight.

I am sad today too. I am reminded of my realization 11 years ago: One man will always want to be "right." Even at the expense of another.

Your blogs are becoming more lucid. What gives?
