Shared on Wed, 05/08/2013 - 10:18I've been reading through my old blogs and I see that I made some predictions that actually came true.
The most striking one I made is about Swotor, I said that it would be Free-to-play inside of two years. I wish I had put money on that. The other one was about Bioware and how they would turn themselves into an endangered species with ME3... The mayhem that followed the release of ME3 was evident, lol. Still, with the closing DLC 'Citadel', ME3 has become a worthy ending of the trilogy... just ignore the Catalyst and go wild in the battle-simulator with your favorite team. Mine is Sheppie-Liara-Jack.
Another prediction I made but didn't blog was that THQ would go bankrupt with Volition's SR3. They did. I have no clue why Deep Silver bought Volition for 10millionUSD so that SR4 can be completed. Deep Silver has gold on their hands with the Dead Island franchise coded by Techland. Why endanger that with the stumbling fools that make out Volition nowadays?
I've given up on WoW. I can't take anymore of Pandaria. I'm very close to finally securing Loremaster, but you know, fuck it. Pandaria is bullshit.
The new Tombraider... Why was it so easy? It was a great game though, lean on replayability, but smooth as butter and it had Lara Croft in it. All in all, Legend is still my favorite game in 16 years of Tombraider.
One of my biggest wishes has come true... Big Huge Games folded and we don't have to worry about new Kingdoms of Amalur games anymore. Score one for the battered gamers out there.
Dragonborne DLC for Skyrim... Really, Bethesda? Really? 'nuff said here. You know what Bethesda? Just give us Fallout 4. Please.
Diablo 3... Patch 1.08. Blizzard, just give us an official botting option and be done with it. I don't see how you guys can make the easiest game in the galaxy even more easier after 1.08. Even though Blizzard will turn to their attention to itemization for the next year... do we really need it now that we're made almost immortal?
Runic Software and Torchlight 2... WTF. Not even going to explain this further.
A big SIGH at EA and revealing the Sims4 for 2014... Totally robbed me of my motivation to keep playing The Sims 3.
AMC's Walking Dead game... Why? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!
About Rockband 3... After playing most of my guitrollers to shit, I still suck, lol. I'm a bit sad at the thank you note the game displays now... An end to an era right there. Since new guitrollers are hard to come by now, it's only a matter of time before the games become totally unplayable to me... I'll be sad when that happens. Still, I would welcome people on my XBL who still play Rockband. Befriend me on XBL: Javamonsoon.

Never played WoW, never will. Ive always taken issue with paying monthly to play a video game ever since Ultima Online launched, that was the end of my Ultima playing.
Tomb Raider wish a good game, i enjoyed it a lot though hardly touched the multiplayer, zero fucks given for multiplayer. And all the DLC is MP focused so when I was done with the campaign i just traded it in. If htey had have given me more campaign DLC, i might have held onto it.
Lately been playing Defiance, a psudo MMO for 360. It's not awesome by any means and it's full of bugs. But right now there's not really anything else i want to play so it released at just the right time, and i do have fun with it despite the problems.
I quit Diablo3 after they upped the repair costs and reduced the gold drops such that I couldn't make more gold than it was costing me to play. Plus the witch doctor was the hardest character to play and thats the one i picked, so many problems with that class. And you coldn't find good gear you had to buy it all in the AH and people wanted 1million + for Inferno level gear, with the new repair costs that was just unattainable. That games' just a design mess.
Lately i've been putting a lot of time into Path of Exile, you should check it out. I really like it, best ARPG i've ever played though it too has issues. What drew me to it was the ability to improve your existing gear with different orbs > LIke turn a regular item into a rare, you can improve the quality and all that jazz. PRoblem is those orbs have just been used for currency and there's no rhyme or reason for why one is worth so many compared to another and t's a real crap shoot on how to value anything if you're buyig or selling. Since they're being used for currency the drop rates have been modified so you can't farm them easily, you can't go back to an easier difficulty or zone to farm them because there is a currency penalty for how over leveld you are compared to the zone. So there are some things to get worked out in the game but it's still really good.
Also been playing Marvel Heros beta which launches June 4th. IT's not great by any means but it's fun.
