New Bounty! reward car - NXR-R GT!!!!!! 3/7 thru 3/13 8AM PST
This just almost slipped by me...
Participants that beat my best time will get a 2005 Honda NSX-R GT unicorn.
Its some new Turn10 guy who posted HERE.
For the upcoming Ready Set Gecko rivals mode in the Wiseman GT MF5 (free if you don't get the DLC since that is the free sample car in the pack).
I'll try to keep this updated I guess........
EVENT: Ready Set Gecko
CAR: Wiseman GT MF5
GAMERTAG to beat: johniwanna
TIME: 2:11.598
There are some other ways to win a unicorn of choice with car stories as well.
Anyway... FINALLY ... a chance for my NSX-R GT!!!
nice im gunna do this tonigt
LOL, something I thought would never be said by me...Nice Woodie Innocent!
(Rimshot)
((Pun NOT Intended))
(((I give up)))
Deffo going for this one!!1
The Wiseman's one of the cars that caught my eye. I hope it's reasonably decent. I like cars that look good AND run competitively.
I haven't looked at the new monthly rivals events. What event is this Ready Set Gecko? Please say it's not Autocross...
It's hotlapping the new Weismann around Nurburgring GP.
it uses the 2010 model not the new 2011 model
Sorry, in the OP over on fm.net he even bolded the part about not needing to buy the DLC to take part because you just need to download the free Weismann. He's telling people to use the wrong car then :)
Edit: just checked the last week in review and it also says that Ready Set Gecko uses the 2011 version.
what's the time to beat?
not one yet i was the 19th person to set a time im dow to 114 now
2.17.012
GT johniwanna
beat that on my 2nd lap pfft must like giving unicorns away
aye I beat it cold off the line 1st time.. way easy even for a car as tail happy as that.
*shrugs*
He said he was going to try to improve his time... I hope he doesn't improve it too much. BUT - He did say he was trying Manual w/ clutch for the first time, so unless he runs tons of laps, this might be it for him, or not too much faster..
Are Tunes allowed, or is this a damn stock only event?
Also - Did T10 award the Feb King of the track prizes yet?
He said he will improve as best he can till the deadline...
...and it uses the 2011 model, I'm in it now...
I'll confirm this guy's time tomorrow, but man, this is one fucking shitty Rivals month. Sorry. Sheeee-ittttt-teeeeeeeeeeeee
3 hotlapping events - stock cars only ...
Weismann feels like they are using the brakes made from wet sponges or they came off a tricycle.. the lambo stock, well, its OK, but no thanks... the Zagato.. I haven't tried it yet but WTF were they thinking this month?!?!
The only building/tuning you can do is for the drag, drift and track day events. WTFWTFWTFWHATTHEFUCK!
I don't mind one stock event for hotlapping, in a decent car preferrably, but all hotlapping events are stock? Let me at least touch tire pressure! Something!
If that Wiesmann drives like that in real life, you can keep it. Ugly and drives like pudding.
Sorry if anyone likes stock events over tuned ones, again, I don't mind but come on! Give me at least one to play with!
I guess this month I will work on straight LB timess or older rivals.
...... ok.. back on topic........................
FUK!
.... oh.. maybe the Wiesmann can be saved with some parts and a decent tune... I do want to try it cause it did handle pretty well once you beat the car in preparation of said turns.
psyber, you can build and tune the lambo any way you want up to R3. Granted, I'm not a big fan of driving an R3 road car with 800 hp as that's what it needs to get to R3-800 when converted to RWD.
Nope, it's definately R3-800, did it last night. I was wondering why your time was so slow.
Maybe, just maybe, they were thinking that some people suck at tuning and would like to compete on a level playing field?
And maybe I'm giving T10 too much credit...
Does it drive better than the stock Veloster? I hope so!
Yeah--I know what you mean. I drove it for about 8 laps last night for (3 laps at a time) to get a feel. Already beat the current bounty time, but from what I read, he thinks he's going to be in the 2:09. The car is a little weird to drive. You will spin the wheels from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, and 3rd to 4th over any slight bump flat-shifting without TCS, so need to exercise throttle control during gear shifts and rounding corners.
I think the car behaves strangely because it is long and narrow and the power band is quite small and comes on really quickly?
Also, I hate that the stupid bounty is so low right now because the number of participants is relatively low. I'm going to wait a few days till more people set their times. That way, at least I can make some good credits while working up the LB.
2:10.XXX and a big OMGawd! If you slow it down and hooks an inside front tire on the curb it'll turn in, otherwise, kiss your ass good bye and it slides. Weird car, if you're on the brakes at all, massive slide/push, and then you get a big helping of woohoo/ass waggle power! You really have to slow it down and ease it out.
Asstracks an alien. I thought you all were exaggerating, but now I'm a believer.
Johniwanna was in the 2:13's last I looked, and a lvl10 driver according to his S/F.
I kinda like the cars looks...
lmao
I jumped in the car from the dealer and just drunk drove - aka slow, cautious, one eye shut, the other squinting slightly to focus and perhaps a few MPH under the limit.... one lap and brought it back to the dealer.
I have been putting off driving the Ring since once I start, it becomes a massive addiction. I guess the crack pipe is gonna get tugged on a bit cause of this one.
I am happy I missed the fact that you can tune. I feel bad I slammed this month's rivals completely.
Gimmie some grip, and I can live with the lack of top end speed. Won a World Tour Lemans race on the turns alone, and a whopping 135mph top speed in my Exige..
I actually turned on the T/C and did better. It's a bit tempermental.
And I think a lot of it is simply the bumpy track.
That and the crappy tires.
And the horrible suspension/ARB settings.
If you get it slowed before the turn, it's great, if you don't, it just skids along the pavement, there's no grey area/middle ground.
