The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor
I finished reading this two weeks ago, and I am thoroughly disappointed as a fan of the comics. I feel like the majority of it read as just any other zombie novel, with only minor tie-ins to the comics until the last 50 pages or so. I don't buy the plot twist at the end of the book, and I feel like any part of him "rising as the governor" which is promised by the title alone doesn't even happen in the book. I feel like I wasted my money on this. Some people may like it, but I don't recommend it to anyone.
Kirkman said if the book sells well he'll have more books released about the other characters like Tyrese and Abraham, but if they turn out like this one, I am not interested.
Does anyone else have any opinions on this book?
The Walking Dead: The Road to Woodbury is due out October 16 and it's a direct sequel to Rise of the Govenor
