GOVX AND ELECTRONIC ARTS TEAM UP FOR MEDAL OF HONOR WARFIGHTER MILITARY EDITION
GovX.com, owned and operated by GovX, Inc., the largest online shopping destination exclusively serving verified military, law enforcement and related government personnel and their families, has partnered with Electronic Arts to offer the Medal of Honor Warfighter Military Edition, to be released on Oct. 23, 2012. This will be the first time a major video game release will offer a special edition that will only be available to verified active, reserve, retired and former military personnel, not the general public. A portion of GovX’s proceeds from Medal of Honor Warfighter Military Edition game sales will be donated to GovX military foundation partners, including the Air Force Association and AFA Veteran Benefits Association, Marine Corps Association & Foundation, and National Association for Uniformed Services, among others. In partnership with Electronic Arts, GovX will also contribute to the Navy SEAL Foundation and Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
“This is a uniquely exceptional video game, precisely the kind of game to lead the industry with a privileged Military Edition,” said Tony Farwell, President and a founder of GovX, Inc. “Not only is Medal of Honor a massively popular game franchise, it’s a more personal, plot-based game with a deep pathos and authenticity that serves to further heighten our respect for those who serve. This exclusive Medal of Honor Warfighter Military Edition represents a new step for major game franchises, and Electronic Arts again leads the industry by creating a privileged version for our military.”

Powered by the ground-breaking Frostbite™ 2 engine, Medal of Honor Warfighter features real world hotspots in the single player campaign and introduces international Tier 1 Operators from 10 different nations in multiplayer allowing players to show their national pride online. A 2012 survey conducted by Robert Hale & Associates that measured video game usage among military and non-military peers, showed that military video game users are more likely to play first person shooter games, the most popular genre of games overall, and play for a longer period of time than their non-military peers. Survey participants further demonstrated demand for a military edition when those who are or were in the military responded that they had a strong preference to purchase a military edition in order to compete exclusively against others in the military, have a designation or badge indicating their military status, and have a donation given to military foundations.
Medal of Honor Warfighter Military Edition will be available for purchase exclusively on GovX.com on Oct. 23, 2012 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC. Sorry, did a search here for "Medal of Honor 2012" and found no threads. THEN saw the March thread from Snuphy. This is a slightly different slant though with the military/vet tie in.
no problems doorgunner,
I remember when the UK army and maybe the US military as well, Banned MOH 2010 from the Bx/Pxs because you got to play the Taliban and shoot Alliance forces.
not sure how that's different from all the existing Call of Duty titles where you could play Russian or German troops shooting US forces!
unfortunately MOH 2010 suffered from horrible Multiplayer. I thought the SP Campaign was good, but short and glitchy.
I think MOH warfighter will be the opposite - vanilla SP campaign, but much improved Mulitplayer.
It really depends on the map design and how many maps we get.
