Trying to get an Xbox in Ireland
So I decided to go to Gamestop in Ireland to get my new Box, thinking this would be the fastest way and the price was resonable...so it has been over a week and I mail them to see what is going on...they sent it by courier last week, the lying toerags at the courier company claim they had tried three times to deliver and rang me...I am stuck here as my car is off the road, my phone in my pocket, no one has rung, or called to the house...UPS, An Post, Royal Mail all manage to get to me, an Irish Courier service? couldn't find their dick in their trousers.
Ireland sounds alot like East Tennessee.
Now that I think about it, there are some similarities...
the part of not being able to find there dick in there trousers? ;) lol
Sorry i couldnt hold back it was begging to be replied too.
No, the part about not finding his house. UPS can find us (sometimes), FedX can't, the local law can't (don't ask), the pizza delivery won't, the regilaur pPost only deleivers every other Saturday, not every...
Yes mate the wilds of Cavan are...very wild. still the folk at Gamestop were very nice and said a freeby was on it's by way of a sorry...Acer could learn a thing or two about customer service from them...but that's another story.
New Box has arrived and the freeby for the delay? BF3! very cool and kudos to Gamestop for knowing how to keep a customer happy even when the problem was not of their making. Transfering Forza info across now
Hey Knight, years ago I bought an Acer from Best Buy, open box but they said it was fine, turns out it had been cannibalized and they wouldn't do anything about it. Acer, on the other hand, not only replaced the box but upgraded the replacement. Apparently it was an ongoing investigation of their relationship with Best Buy, who my wife will not set foot in since. So, customer support goes much further than many consider in the here and now. We've bought many more Acer products since and have had no problems out of them.
And I've since learned to NEVER buy anything even remotely looking like it's been opened...
Hmm not my experience, but this is Acer Ireland and their customer service is abysmal I too have used Acer monitors for years, they are cheap and I have yet to have one fail on me.
Long story short I ordered one direct from Acer using Paypal, they took the money excepted the order and begun the shipping process, two days later they canceled the order saying they didn't except paypal from Ireland ???
I re ordered using Amazon payments, that was excepted then a day later canceled, I tried again with my debit card and it failed because there were now two payments in the hands of Acer for a monitor they would not send me and my bank account was too low at this point to do another order. Customer Service were rude, blunt and have never apologized for the issue or explained why. Way to go Acer.
Sounds like a regional issue with something outta Ireland. I've done a little commerce outside the U.S. ( very little, but a tad) and the irregularities are baffling at times.
I wonder why Paypal out of Ireland differs unless it's a taxation/tariff type something or other. I do think if they can accept a transaction and immediately tap your account, that if it's rejected/canceled/whatever they should be able to put it back just as quick, but it's not their priority at that point.
Ran into the same situation at the local college, they insisted on tuition by a certain date, but then canceled the class and took 6 weeks to refund the money, all done on a card. So I paid interest on something I never received. I almost reported the transaction to the card for payment on services never received/rendered.
