Any way to make gold?

I'm so used to SWToR which threw money at you.  They had dailies that gave a good amount of credits and you could earn decent gear from.  I was so rich in swtor.  GW2 is tough, I can't seem to get ahead with cash.  I'm now farming these stupid trolls, but it gets old.

What am I doing wrong?  Or any ideas?

Question: what do you need money FOR? IMO, the coolest armors and weapons are acquired by redeeming dungeon tokens and karma points.

I think crafting is the best way to make gold. When you reach level 400 in a discipline you making awesome quality stuff, which can be sold on the Trading Post for good coin. Jewelry seems to be the easist to level. I'm around level 394 and I just used the gems I found by playing the game normally.

Meanwhile, leveling Huntsman and Leatherworking is SLOW because they share the same fine materials, which are rare drops from monsters and harder to come by. (I may have to "grind" to complete those disciples.)

You should watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwSQaFcGy3g And you're a warrior, so you can actually take this advice unlike me, the ranger.

The problem with these farming videos is that you usually have to spend money to set up your character the way they have theirs set up. (Like, buying those Superior Runes of the Pirate.) And then, it's only a matter of time before ANet nerfs whatever farming spot you've found.

In the first Guild Wars I used to build characters for the purpose of farming gold so I could buy the fanciest armors, and after awhile I thought to myself: WHAT AM DOING? I am boring myself farming so I can buy this ridiculous armor... when I could be playing for fun... or playing another game... or even, oddly enough, not playing anything but going outside into the sunlight. (Ah! It burns!)

Currently Playing:

I tend to just grind Events as I'm leveling and get tons of loot that way.  I vendor everything but Rares, those I sell on the TP.  My Thief had 11 gold when he hit 80, my Warrior is currently 78 and has around 8 gold.  And that's with buying myself new gear periodically while leveling.  Other than waypoints, repairs and the occasional TP purchase there isn't much to spend money on in this game.  I bought my Thief a full exotic set from the TP at 80 for around 10 gold whcih to me seems like the best way to get gear.  The dungeon stuff is really nice but I can't see myself ever grinding those enough to buy anything that way.
