R.I.P. COD
A new king has entered town named Minecraft. Though I am shocked out of all games that would dethrone COD it would be Minecraft.

Notice most of hte indie games are micecraft clones.
pretty impressive.
I curse my kids for exposing me to minecrack. I get these twiches at work and find myself stacking boxes to prepare for the creepers.
I am resisting the temptation to install it on the iPad.....
The missus would kill me if I sat in bed playing "that stupid building game".
It's gotten so bad, you joined a Halo party and didn't play Halo or talk. Instead, you played Minecraft while the rest of us played Halo.
I don't understand. I haven't played, granted, but aren't you just building things? To no end? What's the point? I mean yes, I think that's a very nice Mario head that you built, but while you did that I finished Skyrim...
is there something I'm missing about Minecraft?
Same can be said about Legos. Who doesn't love building stuff with Legos and there is no clean up or threat of stepping on blocks or minifigs in the middle of the night.
That said, I've played free Minecraft a few times and that scratches my itch for that kinda stuff.
Okay, I get that, I liked Legos too when I was a kid. but I'm correct about what the game entails though? I'm not missing something? I guess a game with no "point" other than "build stuff", I still just can't wrap my head around such a thing.
Not sure with the paid product if there is an "objective". I just treat it like a giant sandbox. Create and shape a world to my liking. Build castles, catacombs and stuff like that.
Browser classic (free) play https://minecraft.net/classic/play
I tried the demo out and just couldn't get into it. I think the 8-bit graphics is what kills it mostly for me. I have a hard time making out stuff on the screen.
Did CoD reclaim it's spot yet?
