I need some multi-team too. Just no rocket hog race please.
It's nice to see instant respawn slowly getting peeled away. H4 is beginning to look like a Halo game, though I think it's too little too late. I think the masses have already moved on.

I thought that the consensus here was "the masses" didn't matter, because they'll move on no matter what. That us hardcores matter. So, who cares about masses?

More people means better matching times and increased opportunity for closer skill matching.

Agreed worm.
I had much rather have a healthy population of "casuals" than a malnourished population of "hardcores". Like it or not, Halo needs the "masses", those of us that are the middle ground between hardcore and noob, if we want the best game possible.
343i is steadily chipping away at playlist problems.
Perhaps by the time the Feb. TU is out, most of the multiplayer issues will be mitigated.
I don't remember who I said it to, but this struck me eerily like another comment I made from a similar response about Battlefield, about how the game, about 6 months after release, will be playable.
This is fucking terrible. Why not just put a sticker on Halo 5 that says "Don't Bother Buying This At Launch! We'll Get Things Close To Fixed In Half A Year!" Unacceptable.

Agree 110% but this is really not the developers fault. Publishers are to blame for this. They push these dev into deadlines that are imposs to keep, then tie all of their incentive and bonus money into meeting the deadline.

I would agree to this for most games, but 343 had at least 2.5 years working on H4. Plus they did not have to totally recreate a whole new engine for the game. They were familular with the engine and developed (with Certain Affinity) the second and third map packs for Reach. This game was not just dropped in their laps a year out from release.
Yes they were a new division and this was their first full game, but they touted the amount of people they pulled in to work on the project and of that amount of people, the high percentage of people that came from the game industry.
To their credit they have taken responsibility for the many issues with H4, but their follow through and amount of time to turn things around has been less then optimal.

Your right 343 did have alot of time, but I think this happens alot. But I wonder how much time Microsoft took from them by having them do Halo CE Anniv. I know another dev worked on the MP but I think 343 did all the campaign (I Think)

Huh? What, exactly, is different about the playlists than three months ago on day one (besides the ever falling populations)? They haven't done squat. It's inexcuseable.

they fixed the terrible lag. they fixed a few broken maps. they started looking to the community to up the maps in rotation. that added playlist.
that fixed bugs in the XP system. they fixed not being able to reach the servers on a consistent basis.
lots more to fix, but they have done some. it's just that they shouldn't have to Di so much.
Team Objective seems nice. Played it for a while last night. Feels good to go into a playlist with a party of 4 and do some objective. It's also great to have koth back in regular rotation.

I played a few games of Team Objective last night and I didn't really like it. I'm starting to think that a majority of the original maps that were in the King Of The Hill, CTF, and the Oddball playlist will never be fun for me. They seem like they play too chaotic. I'm hopefull for Forge maps to revive the Objective gametypes for me. Maybe if they did away with some AA or Personal Ordinance it would be less chaotic. Right now I feel that with the randomness of Halo 4 it's easy for someone to bust a whole right through your setup and send the game into chaos. Especially with all the waypoint markers.

Sadly I didn't make that one...
I am getting more and more frustrated with 343i. Thank God for 2o2pHalo and Thursday night smash fests.
