Samsung Galaxy S3 and Tec Tiles
Anyone with a Galaxy S3 or similiar phone ever mess with Tec-Tiles? You can program them with this app to make the phone do certain things when it touches the tile.
What I'd like to do is put one in my car and have it go to an "auto screen". Just a couple of easy to hit buttions to do a few tasks. Like GPS, Slacker / Pandora radio, connect to the car radio with bluethooth and what not. From the looks of it, I'll have to incorporate Tasker.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Looks like its foot the NFC. I've been wanting to getbsome of those before I got my new phone. After I got it, it has Smart Actions built into it. Basically I can tell it at certain times to change runner volume, if I connect to the Bluetooth in my car it turns ringer up, turns on voice announcements, etc... I have the Motorola RAZR Maxx HD.
This is what I want to do. I'll have to check out the Car Home dock app.

Smart actions will do that add well. Look into it, not sure if it's a Motorola only thing or not.
The tec tiles things is cool. But i think you can do the same with just tasker plus a lot more. I see a lot fo people use tasker for helping with battery life as well as automation tasks like with the car home app. I have seen people do crazy things based on which cell towers they are hitting.
BTW Ford Sync rocks. I have the Myford touch in my Explorer, Syncs Music, pandora, Reads text messages, full voice control. Alnong with the standard stuff like make phones calls. I can even setup my car as a hot spot.
