Those little Wiimote wrist-straps may not do justice for those that haven't figured out... you don't have to put your entire body into it.
Tuxedo Jack, at forums.somethingawful.com reported an incident where a virtual bowling game turns awful.
His buddy pulls back for his shot, flings the "ball" towards the pins and loses grip on his Wiimote. The Wiimote extends to the length of the strap, snaps, and continues on its journey into the 60" rear projection TV.
A lesson to be learned, when gaming on your Nintendo please realize the games do not require full body momentum and crazy antics to play. However, if you do choose this route (or have had too much to drink), it may be wise to check the strength of your wrist band or look for 3rd party wrist bands of heavier strength before gaming.
