Krieg is awesome!
I am finally at the point I figured Level 61 Krieg the psycho out and he is freeking awesome!
I did my build on the Hellborn/Mania/Flame of the Firehawk Build and I freak out as I just annilate the playing field. Coming up I concentrated on the blood lust tree, but switched once I had the tools to become a walking flame thrower.
I thought having as much as a 15 seond delay on my shield was instant death, but I regain life as I damage and if I am holding a ruby I am tough to kill, if I am using a unkempt Harold or Flame Burcher or Hellfire it is brutal.
I can only imagine the havoc I could create if running with a Rez Siren,
Yup. He is a shit ton of fun.
I went through playthrough 1 and 2 mostly in the Mania tree with a few points in Bloodlust when I was able to afford it. Once I hit 51 and UHVM, I respec'ed with a focus on the Hellborn tree and the Firefly Siren build of the previous game has been reborn as Krieg.
I was running with a Flame of the Firehawk for a while, but it's quite distracting and at times kills the frame rate of the game so I've gone back to running with The Rough Rider.
You are right, when rocking the Firehawk it does slow the frame rate. Just part of the chaos. The psycho talk is a trip. They made a unique character that adds a different element of gameplay.
I'm at a level 31 and having a lot of fun with mine. I'm using Captain Blade's Manly Man Shield.
With the explosive damage to all melee attacks I wanted to see if it was any fun...
Are you spec'ed into Light the Fuse?
I tried it early on in my build, but even with maxed explosive damage and a class mod that gave bonus explosive damage, I didn't find it useful outside of co-op play.
The explosive damage and a Double Penetrating pocket rocket or Unkempt Harold is deadly. Especially when the shiled is down and on fire. In UVHM so many baddies resist fire that sometime a explosive boost is the best way to take them down.
