What about AWD cars that don't have RWD conversions but the differential is tuned all the way RWD? I know it wouldn't be true RWD, but I love drifting some cars that are AWD drivetrain but I have the diff tuned RWD. So they are AWD cars but RWD at heart I guess. Skylines are my fav. I guess it would just be someone's honest word on this subject. I never really drifted much, but I'll give it a go if I catch you on. You should also sign up for some of the racing series and get to know some of the other guys. I know it wouldn't be drifting events. But you might find some of the other guys who don't attend the forum as much, who do like drifting. We are a very unique and diverse group here. I look forward to drifting, er, sliding off the track gracefully with you in the future.
Ya know Cooter, I totally forgot about that route on going RWD hehe. As long as the party's in the back, it's all good. Yeah I did a few Yaris races and Porsche GT3 races, but lately I've missed quite a few due to work, and falling asleep... Everyone I've met and raced with so far are some cool fellas.
I still have to grab a day for this shindig. I'll try to post that up maybe sometime tomorrow when I get a chance to double check the schedule so there's no interference. I need to use the computer at work since the one I have here at home is an ancient turd. Keep an eye out.
i am a RWD Drifter dont really like AWD but i can also drift a awd
both can be in a same room ... or make tandem... the driver experience will make a difference between a crash or not lol
i used to play alot with AWD Guys and i use RWD Setup .. the best way to make it it's always have a RWD guys in front (slower) so AWD Guys have to follow the slower leader ...

I hear ya Lowrider. I think for this it should just be RWD so everyone is one the same page as far as drivetrain is concerned. With the exception of running a non-swap AWD 100% to the rear of course.
I'm thinking of running this on Tuesday nights at 7pm EST. I'll set up the lobby and just cycle though tracks with the good battle sections. Again, this is a laid back lobby so there's no pre determined track list. Section requests are encouraged if anyone wants to run a specific section. You guys can come and go as you please. Whatever floats your boats. I figured we could session for about an hour, or more if people are having fun and want to kill more tires.
Let me know if this date/time works. I noticed Tuesdays would possibly work as well at the same time (7pm EST), so if Wednesday is a no go for anybody, we could run then. If Wednesday works I will update the first post with the official details.
this will be at the same time that I'll be hosting warm-up for the FR-S series. That's fine by me, but it may hurt attendance a bit. We won't know until we try it though.

Ahhhhh I forgot about the FR-S series! As you know Cotter, I will be running that with you guys.
Sorry, my first time setting up a weekly thing here and there's so many other events that I'm trying to dodge. How about Tuesday nights at 7pm EST?
Seems like there's something on Tuesday (American Icon Series?), but you're going to run into that just about every day through the week i think. Fridays are open I think. Saturday Nights or Sunday nights are also open. the thing to bear in mind is that even if events overlap, there are still folks who do't always participate who might be looking for something else. so you might end up with a good turnout regardless.

Yeah I think the Icon Series starts at 10pm EST so there shouldn't be any issues there. I doubt we'll slide for more than 2 hours. I also noticed that Fridays were clear, but I figured that was for a reason. I just tried to stay away from weekends as people are out doing things and such, including me...
I used to do a friday night drunk-fest before I started my Friday guitar jam session on Fridays. Attendace was spotty. you know how people's Fridays go.
Each Tuesday there is a spec race run at 2old4forza. Last spec series was the Yaris and the current one (American Icon) is run on Tuesdays at 9:00pm E.S.T.

Dang, ok. Thanks burnt. I looked at the schedule spreadsheet and thought it started at 10pm EST. My mistake. I'll change it to 7pm EST I guess.
Driveby, don't get disappointed if people say they can't make your event due to time. There are ALOT of members on this forum. Also remember, your first event or 2 MAY be a little less then what you hope. My Evora series went from 12 on the 1st event to 18-19 on the third or forth event. Word of Mouth, people's schedule changes, and the way the event is organized can make all the difference.
Look for Lowrider, he is a drifter. Well thats what I've been told..... never can put roots down anywhere.
I like drifting I'd come get sideways with you.
I'm down to do some sideways driving. FR me....
I'm in depending on when you choose to do this.
I have no idea what how, and hate what drifting is in real life, but the I'll bet it's fun in the game. I'd join in too, if I can.

Drinking is wrong.
That's reason for dismissal. How dare you!
The down low Beer Run's still on Saturday nights I think?
First session is tomorrow at 7pm EST. I've updated the first post with details and info.
I'll send out friend requests to the current list of participants sometime tonight and invites to the lobby around go time.
See you guys tomorrow. BYOB
No worries lowrider. I'm sure we'll hit track sooner or later.

Tips on how to tune for drifting please......I have no clue as I'm a circuit/drag racer for the most part. I also race a little Soap Box too.
STRAIGHT LINE OR NO LINE DAMMIT! NOW THAT'S THE AMERICAN WAY!!!
