Apparently game sales on the Sony PlayStation 3 were not as big as the game sales on the Nintendo Wii. Although console costs may contribute to the customers inability to buy additional games, it may be the "entrepreneurs" selling PS3's on eBay would have no desire to pack it with tons of games given the selling price of the console alone.
The games are not as hard to find as the PS3 console alone so it is up to the eBay auction winner to go fetch games for their new highly overpriced system. After spending over $2,500 winners will have to hit the store and pickup some games for their prize.
Which games? Sales figures suggest it to be Resistance: Fall of Man and Madden NFL 07, the top selling PS3 games to date.
Nintendo pulled ahead on overall game sales, not too surprising given the system was much cheaper, not as costly on eBay and often sold in bundles on the Internet (see WalMart as a good example). The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Ubisoft's Red Steel were top launch title sellers, also not too surprising given the hype.
Some facts: PS3 console buyers also picked up 1.5 games (statistics are funny that way) while Wii console buyers attached 3 games per console to their purchase.
Still having problems finding one of these systems? Sony and Nintendo are saying another round of shipments will arrive a week after launch (very soon). Nintendo says the Wii will be flooding into the market steadily through the remaining days 2006.
