[ALS] American Icon Series (FINISHED)

Hi Everyone!

Atlantic LS is hosting a new series starting on Tuesday March 5^th, 2013 and will run for 13 weeks.  The tracks will be long to medium in length and will be 10+ laps (depends on the track).

The series is going to be a battle of North American Icons.  You can choose to race one of either  2013 Ford Mustang, 2010 Chevy Camero, or the 2009 Dodge Challenger. The cars are all pretty close in Horse Power to Weight ratio and are within tenths when I was testing.

There will be 3 race groups of 5.  So you will need to specify which car you want to race when you sign up.  Once you choose you can’t change unless there is a spot. I will do race teams but no more than 2 cars per team and they must be of the same car.

The North American Division will be held at 9:00pm EST and the European Division will be held at 9:00pm GMT (if there is enough interest and someone to host the races) and both will go over 13 different tracks.  After each race point will be rewarded and tracked in this thread as well as there will be a prize to the overall winner.

I will also be rewarding a prize to the most liked driver (voted by the participants).

REGULATIONS

Build/Tune Rules:
* All participants cars must be built to the specifications as laid out by the series coordinator.
* Tuning is allowed on any adjustable parts that may be on the car. No replacing/adding of parts.

NOTE : This will be an Open Tune, meaning you can either use my tune from the storefront (which will be an all round tune) or you can use your own tune but you must have the required parts.

Livery requirements:
* Your livery must have a Race Plate provided by kraigger75 and the Race Plate must have a Racing Number on the sides, hood and rear bumper of the car
* If you do not have a race paint you will not be allowed to race. 
* I will provide a basic race paint that I will make customizable to each person.

Handicaps:
First race will not have any handicaps.

After the first race the handicaps will take place as follows:

• The top 4 finishers from the previous race will be subject to a 5% horse power reduction. If they finish in the top four again then they will lose another 5% horse power to a maxium of 10 hores power.     
• If you finish in the middle 2-8 (depending on room size) you will stay with the stock build.
• If you finish in the bottom 2 you will gain 5% horse power

Starting Grid:
The order of the Starting Grid is by GROUP with Amateur in front and Veteran in the back

Points and Rewards:
After each race there will be a points award for first through last.
1^st – 15 points plus either prize credits or an Atlantic LS car.
2^nd – 12 points
3^rd – 10 points
4^th – 9 points
5^th – 8 points
6^th – 7 points
7^th – 6 points
8^th – 5 points
9^th – 4 points
10^th – 3 points
11^th and after will get 1 point each.

Points Leader (overall winner) in each Division after all 12 races have been run will get 5 million credits and their choice of a past Atlantic LS car!

2nd Place in each Division after all 12 races will get 3 million credits

3rd Place in each Division after all 12 races will get 2 million credits

Racing Etiquette:
* Race Clean and give room
* No Cutting corners
* No Blocking, racing line is not blocking
* Call your intent
* No conversation while race is on, as communication between other drivers cannot be heard.
*If an accident occurs the person who got knocked off the track will get there spot back and the one who caused the accident will not.

Cautions:
* During a Caution all chatter should be to a minimum, this will help get the cars in line for the restart
* You can call a caution if someone causes you to lose position during the race through physical interaction
* If you cause your own departure from the track, or accident or whatever, you cannot call a Caution.
* Once you call a caution, everyone will slow down to 30mph. Do not come to a complete STOP
* Racers go back inline. Restarts are single file.
*If an accident occurs the person who got knocked off the track will get there spot back and the one who caused the accident will not.
* Room Host will call out a countdown, 3*2*1 GO, once all racers are grouped up (within a car length of each other) and up to caution speed (30mph).
* No passing on restarts until the end of following corner after the re-start of the caution or when the series coordinator calls “YOU CAN PASS”
* No cautions on the last 3 laps.
