The first one wasn't bad, but there really wasn't much to it. The new one is all fleshed out and looks like it should be a really good time, especially for only $40. It'll be interesting to see how all the different classes play out.
I played the first one quite a bit with a buddy, game had issues but was fun. I'll pick up 2 at some point, but likely when it drops a bit in price.
I watched some bete play on twitch. Looked pretty good and they added a bunch of customizations for weapons and your character.
If you can get a group of folks to play it with, it should be pretty good. I like how the missions will change dynamically so you're not just always robbing the same bank every time. The game has some real potential.

I'm mildly interested in this, i could be talked into picking it up if there was a small dedicated crew of 2o2pers to play it with.
I'd be definitely interested in picking this up. Probably on PC since I'm more likely to catch it on sale really cheap on Steam than Xbox. But I do have a birthday coming around the corner, so we'll see.
Not sure you want to do that unless you have a good list of Steam friends or something. You can't play this game alone, the AI can't hardly do anything and what they can do, they suck at LoL... They're basically only good at being bullet sponges.
Or at least, that's what the reviews are saying.
That's what the first one was like, you had to have at least one non-AI partner to even hope to complete any of the levels. The AI was just worthless. But the game was a lot of fun if you did happen to have a friend to play with. I'll pick up Payday 2 during a Steam sale and hopefully my buddy that I played 1 with grabs a copy as well.
I have a couple of my college friends that we all picked up Payday 1 (when it was $5) on Steam and we enjoyed it. Reminded us a lot when we used to do T-Hunts on Vegas 2. It's got a huge learning curve, but I found the challenge enjoyable.
As far who I play with, at the moment, I have more Steam friends than XBL friends, simply because most of my friends moved from Xbox to Steam in the past year. Now if there was a big influx on my Xbox friends list, then I'd probably be switching back to console gaming more. I don't care about the platform as much as 1. I enjoy the game and 2. I get to play it with friends.
If there is enough people on Steam with this, I may grab it when it drops in price if I can get through all the games I have now.
