Still alive and kicking....just no time for racing
Hi all !!
I haven't been around xbox for quite awhile. But I still lurk here regularly. Between work, health & life in general I have just had no time for xbox. When I've had the opportunity to log on....something always pulls me away to quickly.
Some of you might remember that the dealer I worked for was sold. I am happy to report that I survived the change over and everyone from my depts. were also kept on by the new owners. Still in transition....but the future is looking good so far.
3 weeks after the sale I went to my doctor for my 5 year cancer check-up. Well we found some questionable blemishes on my back and head...had them checked and it was Melanoma again. This was to be my 4th time dealing with this.....the perils of growing up on the beach living in nothing but Beach Britches and flip-flops for nearly 30 years. My 2nd battle was what led me to gaming...3rd time led me here. So I've been busy with my treatment also. Now it's time to wait and see again. This time took a greater toll on me physically...and gave my wife a bit of scare. I've been w/o health ins. since my 1st battle when I was 17. Pre-existing conditions and such. I learned a long time ago to save $$ for my own health issues. I've also learned that from a customer pay view...there is plenty of negotiation room from the medical field. But all is good right now !! That's all that matters.
I probably won't be one of the first in line for the new console...so won't be joining you all for F5...unless there is a 360 version and we can intermingle between consoles??? I have played some of The new Grid game...fathers day gift ; ). Not sure when I'll be back online for some F4. Hopefully soon. I'll keep my eyes open for you all.
Lastly I just want to say thanks to Cotter,Gizzie, Tourni for introducing me to 2OLD4FORZA a few years ago. It's a great group of people you have assembled here. The longevity of this clan amazes me when I hear from other gamers about the turnover rate in other groups. I think that says alot for the type of racers and people you have been able to attract. To all of you that I've met and raced with YOU ALL ROCK !!!!! Yes even Parcells and Sarcasmo ; ) I'll continue to lurk around here and hope to find time to race with all of you soon. For a bunch of people I've never met....it amazes me how I miss all of you. Thanks for all the good times !!!

I wish you all the best for a speedy recovery. It's always great to be in a lobby with you and look forward to racing and joking around in a lobby with you again. Please keep us updated.

I was truely amazed when I actually saw you online the other day. The first thought in my head was "Did I drink that much to the point that Surf is actually online?" then I got to really thinking, "I haven't even drank a beer yet, WOW THIS IS SOME GOOD SHIT!". Good to see your alive Surf. Miss crashing into your cars on the track, I mean, racing with you. I hope things look better for your health in the future. You did it, what, 3 times before? You can do it again. Good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery my friend.

Besides, my autocross and drifting scores make a lot of cash for the rest of this motley crew...
I was online for a bit on Friday....having issues with the controller....left stick doesn't seem to turn with my input. Tried 3 different controllers....1 wired , 2 wireless....all act the same? Anybody know if there are settings that can be changed ?...hardpressed to believe that all 3 sticks went bad at the same time. Most likely one of my children changed something.
