Question for you BF veterans: The last BF game I played was 1942 on the pc. Right now, I'm watching a live stream of the Xbox One game from New Zealand. Looks great.
Here's the thing, though; I have little to no idea what's going on. The guy is in a chopper, firing some rounds that look large and hot. I'm not sure what his objectives are at the moment, other than making swiss cheese out of an enemy tank.
Is there any kind of tutorial on how to play this game? Like, in that chopper, it seemed like there was an alternate fire mode, but I never saw any prompt to change it.
Send me a FR if you want to jump in a few games together. His objective is just getting kills. Choppers are easily taken down with stingers but you need to unlock them.
Were you playing conquest? When I first started playing BF4 a few weeks ago I remember getting tutorial prompts constantly to the point they were annoying.

You press Y to change weapons on the chopper once you unlock them. When you get into them the first few times, there are usually on screen prompts telling you what does what. Might be a good idea to play some of the single player to get used to the guns and tools.
Alright, played the first level of the campaign on XB1.
So, the menu screen says; Campaign 100% Full game 34%. Why can't I play the next chapter of the campaign, then? Isn't that what 100% means?
Still figuring a lot of the Xbox One out. Not sure I'll be sticking to the plan of going all digital. I'm not even clear at this point if the game has finished downloading and it's just taking a long time to install, or if "install" means downloading at the same time.
the campaign and MP download in separate streams. the Single player downloads mission by mission. You will not be able to play the 2nd mission until that one is fully downloaded, same for 3rd, 4th, etc missions.
Multiplayer takes longest to download so you'll probably have done like the 4th or 5th mission by the time MP is ready.

I've mainly played campaign so far on xb1. I played a couple games MP with no problems. Stability seemed to be improving on 360 before I made the switch.
From the few games of MP I played 64 players is insane. Much more spawn deaths.
i didn't see the invite. I will follow up on my end. BTW, I have been unable to get much out of BF4 lately. The servers appear to be a mess. I've been working on COD campaign. I started BF4 campaign and it "lost" my save data. That was a bummer. I'm on leave until Monday, so you will find me online.
Edit: I saw the invite. Kinda weird how they do that now.
DICE f'ed up this game so bad. I wouldn't imagine it'll be playable consistently until at least February. It's crashing a lot and Jikado thinks it's a virus on his console.

Just got my XB1 and BF4 today, any room for somebody new? As far as I know I'm the only person I know with an XB1 so far.

Is the game crashing on Xbox1? Saw doodi's tweets complaining about BF4.

Game has been crashing for me on the 360 since yesterday. Will be in the middle of a match and loose connection to server.
I played 4 or 5 games of rush on xb1 last night with no problems. Downloaded the second assault maps and looking forward to giving them a try tonight.

It's not DICE Shadow it's EA that fucked up.
how is DICE not at fault? They're the ones who made the game.
EA pushed DICE to release this game before Ghosts.

Game has been running fine for me the last few days on the 360. Was a little laggy earlier, not sure if it was on my end or not though.
Just got through three matches with no issues on the X1, other than I suck.
