Ordered one of these for my X41s that I used for my 360. Now I can use them on my PS4. If you have an older headset this is what you need to make it work. Generic chat cables wont work as they dont have the proper number of channels. Notice how it has 3 rings compared to others with only two rings.
Got mine in the mail yesterday and finally I can use my headphones for chat.You do need to adjust the volume in on the PS4 menu tho'
I have the new PX4 headset and absolutely love it, it's even better than my old Sony Pulse Elite.
Been looking at those myself or splurging and getting the TB PX51 or XP510 or Astro A50s, but $300 is a lot to drop on headset. I currently have the X41s, but moved my router near the TV so I could wire up all my consoles and the interference is brutal sometimes, they crackle so bad and my wireless on iPad and laptops cuts in and out since they are both on 2.4GHz. Main reason for upgrading is for the dual band.
I read that the z11's work for game audio and chat. Can anyone confirm?
